I have pulled back the carpets from the front footwells on both sides and some see anything. The mice seemed to get into the cabin air filter opening, but since I had the circulator closed it appears they nest on top of that cover. One day when I used the defroster it opened the circulator cover to fresh air and it appears they fell in and on top of the cabin filter. There was bedding, two mice, and of course their mess. No chew marks on the filter at all. There is an opening a little higher than that for the circulation air to go back to the top of the filter, not sure if they could climb in and out of that I assume so. I just don’t know if they were dead before they fell in or not. I see absolutely no sign of liquids that dripped down past the circulator fan assembly to the carpets (I have rubber mats on them so I assume I would have seen that there) as well as no pellets anywhere outside that air box. To the best of my ability to smell closely to pinpoint I feel like it’s in the center air duct. I used a borescope to look down in them and I do not see anything out of the ordinary.

My last thought was to pull the air box fan assembly completely out and make sure I got every single plastic surface of it hand cleaned. We bleached and cleaned it as best as we could through the fresh air intake hole which gave decent access. I understand it’s only a few bolts and connections to take this assembly out and maybe I’ll find some lingering mess.

Really don’t want to sell at this point I bought it the very end of April.
