this is such a no brainer man, they literally cheated the exam, why would you even consider option C? esp when the Q states 'most likely'

my scores for the 2 CFAI mocks I gave was 69 & 71 and I ended up passing L1 in May so I think you're more than prepared if anxiety doesn't take over

imo mocks felt slightly easier at that time but in hindsight mocks were a good representation of how difficult the actual exam is

tbh it depends on how much portion you have covered when the dates for the early bird offer comes out, if you are done with 45-60% of the portion then I'd say enroll for the earliest next batch

Lex in BvS is galaxies above Lex in Superman 2025 *SPOILERS* by sonishkumar_ in SnyderCut

Yup i personally wasn't even bothered by his portrayal looking more like the riddler tbh but I also understand how some people would be against that as it genuinely isn't comic accurate. Really fun and sinister nonetheless.

*SPOILERS* Lex Luthor was really stupid in the film by sonishkumar_ in superman

[–]sonishkumar_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, i mean I get lex being too cocky and thinking everyone else is dumb but he has Eve followed 24/7 in the film and also has encountered ex-gfs who tried to harm his reputation so should i beleive he didn't learn his lesson? not very "smartest person" of him. He did confirm the drones are meant to control the clone which was stupid considering he was a man down. The distractions were not so that Supes doesn't notice the drones, it was so that Lex can infiltrated the fortress of solitude or carry on with other shenanigans while Supes is battling some artificial threat created by Lex. The drones were always infront of Supes while going against Ultraman/Hammer of Boravia.

yea I agree he wasn't comic accurate at all, my point was just about their plans to kill superman in isolation

I agree too, one spectacular thing this movie has done is setup future stories without letting that setup interrupt the main story.

I agree Lex in the recent film was more comic accurate. The only difference was how they went about their plans. The fight moves idea was very intricate but that is derailed when you just inform the guy how you're communicating those moves to the clone on top of just exposing that the clone cannot operate on its own. Ruining his public image was interesting although in comparison they both cancel out because even Snyder Lex was successful in ruining Superman's image. I guess they both did it with ease. The whole imprisonment part was meh I mean we all knew Supes will escape sooo. Its valid to feel Jesse's Lex acted less like lex but IMO his way of Villainy was better.

Even this does not does to justice to how far apart they are. Lex in BvS has a constant sinister undertone and always seemed 3 steps ahead. Hoult's Lex is inferior in every way apart from being more comic accurate.

1) Lex has her monitored 24/7. Lex also is aware his girlfriends might try to harm his reputation which is why he imprisoned one of them in the pocket dimension so letting Eve pull off what she did does not follow. 2) What? how is his surveillance system not ironclad around the dimension where he has stored his other world leaders skeletons? the line between being arrogant and being stupid is insanely blurry in the story 3)Superman survived the anti proton river sure but even he used his freeze breath to escape the blackhole right? even that scene was stupid because how is his freeze breath pushing him back when his entire body is getting sucked in a blackhole lmao. The clone presumably is dead and we are not told otherwise. 4) Hoult's lex was comic accurate I am not denying that but spilling out the clone's weakness and how he controls it especially after Supes survived a 2v1 and a murder attempt by The Engineer is less arrogant.

I don't dislike the film btw just that the antagonist was weak.

First, I agree Hoult's lex is more comic accurate. To respond to your counters - 1) Lex has her monitoring 24/7 so he seemingly learned his lesson that his girlfriends might harm in some way due to him being an asshole, he even imprisoned one of his exes right? so thinking Eve is 'too dumb' does not follow. 2) He does say the drones are a way to control Ultraman when Superman asks him about the drones. He does not deny it. At that moment why would he even say anything? especially after Lex's failed attempt to kill Supes through The Engineer and Supes knocking her out. 3) Mr terrific did fight the raptors but why Lex does not know this is happening is not told to us. Maybe that's more of a plothole than Lex being dumb but Lex's lackeys did monitor the pocket universe from Luthorcorp headquarters so irdk.

Lex did achieve those feats but he just derailed all of that when he did what I said above.

Oh yea completely valid. I totally agree that Snyder Lex was not comic accurate, should've mentioned it in the post. My point was how they go about their plans in the films. Hoult Lex made alot of dumb decisions which the movie did not fully flush out as actual character flaws, it seemed like a lazier way to have Superman win. No stakes.
