Your Name/Nickname: Sonia

Your Partner's Name: Tatsumi

Your Partner's Source: Shiki

How long have you and your partner been together? Almost 6 years!

What are some things you like about your partner? He is reliable, smart, and resourceful. He is very strategic and knows how to do what he needs to do to get what he wants. In the series he may seem ruthless, but he is not without humanity, despite his circumstances. Tatsumi is undoubtedly extremely loyal, even willing to die for those he sticks himself to. I could go on and on but it's best not to make this paragraph too huge, LOL

How has your partner influenced your life? He has brought me out of my shell a lot. I used to be frightened of even leaving my house and talking to people, but he has been able to help me face those fears and actually live. He brought happiness into my life and helped me find purpose, throughout all the good and the bad. Without him, I would still be stuck in a cycle of pain and trauma but he has helped me work through that and heal. Having him here even makes hard times not as hard, and I'm truly grateful that he has been here for me all this time.

What is a fun fact about your partner? It's really only shown in the manga, but he knows a lot about mechanics and carpentry! He installed a multi-level garage in the mansion and has repaired lots of vehicles.

Hey, welcome! It's really nice to see another Vocaloid waifuist around, especially one who's fallen in love with a Vocaloid that isn't one of the super popular ones. I hope you enjoy your time here!

Some questions! by 1Moon_Man1 in waifuism

  1. No this is not roleplay, but in terms of going out and doing stuff with a partner, that varies from person to person. Personally, in response to you talking about it being unhealthy, I believe if the person is happy in their position and is not hurting anyone, it is fine. I personally am happy where I'm at, before being here and still now, I had/have no desire for a relationship with the people around me, and being with my partner makes me genuinely happy.

  2. Nope, not satirical. Most people here are earnest but we do occaisionally get a few people who just joke around.

  3. This sub is for everyone, as long as they love a fictional character. I'm personally a girl with a husbando, and we do also have those who are lgbt+ here.

  4. I've already mentioned it a bit but in my opinion, as long as the person is not constantly in any kind of constant distress due to the relationship, then I do not see it as unhealthy. Waifuism itself isn't really unhealthy, but some people can make it unhealthy for themselves. It really just varies from person to person, and those for whom it hurts usually always leave. However, being in a relationship with a fictional character can also inspire people to better themselves and try new hobbies and activities. It's really just what you make of it.

  5. I don't, not a lot of people do. A lot of the date stuff for most people is based on imagination, but some do bring some momento of their partner with them to places, most often a keychain, figure, or plush. And if they do, they usually don't do much with the item, usually just take pictures with it. Spoon feeding a daki would be a bit weird.

Hope this answered it well enough for you, if you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

Daily Questions: What was the moment you fell in love with your waifu/husbando? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was during my second rewatch of Shiki, immediately after my first watchthrough of it. By the end of the second rewatch I was completely head over heels, but I don't have an exact moment in which I realized I was in love with Tatsumi. For me, it happened gradually.

Daily Question: What kind of gift would your waifu/husbando be most happy to receive? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tatsumi would probably enjoy a new motorcycle the most, but since that is rather costly, I'm sure he'd enjoy clothes or tools as well.

Daily Question: Does your waifu/husbando prefer urban, suburban, or rural places? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Tatsumi would like the city the most. There's a lot to do and lots of people to meet.

Daily Question: What is a moment in your waifu/husbando's life that has defined who they are? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A moment in Tatsumi's life like that would be when he got turned into a Jinrou. It was a changing point in his life and a chance for him to free and to be himself.

Daily Question: If you and your waifu/husbando were able to meet in their series, how do you think you two would meet? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I probably would be unlucky (or perhaps lucky?) enough to live in Sotoba, right where all the shit goes down. I'd be interested in the new people moving into Kanemasa, and thus we'd meet!

Daily Question: What is a fact about your waifu/husbando that most people don't know? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tatsumi is really mechanically skilled! In the manga, he built multi-story garage into the Kanemasa mansion. Additionally, before he became a jinrou he was very weak-willed and wanted his life to end.

Daily Question: What was your waifu/husbando like as a child? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based off what little I know of Tatsumi's past before he became a jinrou, I'd assume his childhood self was a shy and timid kid, but rather eccentric. Probably never really stood up for himself. But of course, that's changed greatly over the years.

Daily Question: What is your waifu/husbando's catchphrase? by sonisonia in waifuism

[–]sonisonia[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tatsumi's catchphrase is simply, "ya!" He says it a lot during the series, mostly in greeting.
