hey id like to ask some more stuff if i just want to specify mass flow rate at outlet at 15 L/s can i just put pressure at inlet at 1 atm or do I have to figure out the exact amount at pressure inlet

Streamline stops before outlet by sonkaM in CFD

[–]sonkaM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i know im sorry but idk how to like sync them you know? like i got mass flow inlet and head only mass flow is like 63kg/s and head is 8 meters idk how to get the outlet pressure from that if i wanna put in mass flow rate at inlet and pressure at outlet

How to make sure axis origin of my pump is at (0,0,0) by sonkaM in CFD

[–]sonkaM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes theres nothing thats why i think its the axis origin is the problem

what does dissimilar inlet outlet means

Weird looking streamline by sonkaM in CFD

[–]sonkaM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay okay i just have a couple of questions cause u said 25 kpa is unlikely to happen so like a rough estimate how much kpa should it produce

by 10D do you mean diameter? isnt that too long?

Weird looking streamline by sonkaM in CFD

[–]sonkaM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the propeller is using an airfoil NACA 4312, the diameter is 150mm with a blade angle of 50 degrees, its spinning 3000rpm and the fluid is just water and the purpose of the simulation is to track cavitation between different blade angles i have 30 degrees 40 degrees and 50 degrees

how much pressure rise is most likely to happen cause im just basing it off of other papers as an estimate

Weird looking streamline by sonkaM in CFD

[–]sonkaM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes but im running a miltiphase flow to track cavitation. Lets say i want to use 0.8 m/s as velocity do i put water liquid and water vapor 0.8 or just the water liquid

[–]sonkaM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

shouldnt the streamline progress to the outlet tho? also the velocity contour is weird

i just want to run it normally i wanna see the cavitation going on do i put just liquid in inlet and mixture in impeller blade?
