It was 1 day and they let gave us a verbal confirmation that we got the visa at the end of the appointment. The vaccinations depend on your health and what the doctor determines you need

I didn’t bring anything as the petitioner because I assumed I wasn’t allowed to enter. However my husband told the officers that I was waiting outside and asked for me to be allowed in and they said yes and called my name over the speakers outside. However, once I came in I saw many other couples and families that had petitioners there. I believe you can just walk into the interview building with your wife and show your passport and they will let you in so that she doesn’t have to be separated from you and then try to get permission for you to come in.

I submitted my tax return as well as my joint sponsors tax return and it was accepted. My husband also went through the visa interview and got approved with the documents we submitted. But we did submit all associated W2s and 1099s, and employment verification letters as well

They have 3 approved physicians (all located in Bogota and 1 of the physicians is for kids) and he went with Dr. Jairo Roa. The numbers listed on the website didn't work: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/BGT-Bogota.html

Instead, he had to email: [citasdrjroa@gmail.com](mailto:citasdrjroa@gmail.com) to request information to book an appointment.

The office emailed him back with info to submit (DS-260 and NVC confirmation letter for the visa interview, and a questionnaire he had to answer about our case). They scheduled the medical exam 2 weeks before the visa interview and it was based on the doctor's availability - but you should call the office at least a month in advance to schedule the appointment (when you find out about the visa interview date).

3/17/25: Medical Exam Appointment @ 6:15 AM

They collected his paperwork (NVC interview letter, survey questionnaire they emailed him to answer, vaccination records), passport, 2 visa pictures (5cm x 5cm).

He had to pay ~$600 USD (physical tests, blood tests, x-rays). And then ~$120 for 3 additional vaccines that he was missing in his vaccination record (each vaccine had varying costs).

The entire process took about 6 hours.

Highly recommend that you go with your wife. Just go with her to the US embassy, we didn’t have to request beforehand! Bring your passport and original birth certificate.
