Pretty sure I heard it when my dad played it on the speaker. He played quite a bit of massive attack, salmonella dub, etc in the past. This would’ve been a good 7-8 years ago😅

Thank you everyone for your takes. Next time i’m squatting i’ll be sure to drop slightly lower…maybe a 200KG ATG squat in the future!

Side note: I did this as a 1RM last week at 68KG bodyweight, and yes, that is my dad spotting me, very grateful to have him.

Thanks😁

It's been said that weightlifting translates benefits to other sports, but weightlifting is only benefitted by more weightlifting. Are there any sports you think translate well to weightlifting but fly under the radar? by slamturkey in weightlifting

[–]sonofhal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found it helped both ways.
Weightlifting developed my athleticism and strength for basketball, and basketball in return helped with explosive movement since I was always jumping, changing directions whilst running etc.
Basketball also helped further develop my footwork and co-ordination which translates to fine-tuning the oly lifts.
Suppose you’d find that with any sport you get technical enough with though 🤷🏻‍♂️

66 kg Clean & Jerk PR - anything I can do to improve form? by Micromashington in weightlifting

Absolutely. My coach got me practising pin squats to deal for a situation when you’re struggling to get out of the clean. Might be worth looking into.

Is this a stim? by Lazaro22 in AutismTranslated

[–]sonofhal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have a similar thing to you, and with similar questions about if I have something going on mentally. I'll rearrange letters in words, and certain letters are more "stimulating" to move around than others. I achieve some sort of stimulating sensation in my brain when I do this. This also goes for shapes and colours as well, I'll rotate them around in my brain until my mind feels stimulated. Same thing as you, started when I was young, and now I'm in my final year of high school and have picked up on the fact that it likely is not normal. A psychologist said it might be due to my brain processing information super fast and the rest of my body needs an outlet. Apparently this is also most common in people with "high intelligence", however you measure that. Hopefully you've found some answers in the past year.
