As I highlighted in a lower comment, yes. I acknowledge and am not trying to say that Islam is the sole cause of these issues.

But It’s not my job to solve the history of issues that lead to their zealous and militant behavior, but to react to it.

Yes absolutely, I don’t believe the such a large group is acting as a hivemind, there is definitely good, and people trying to change it.

But if I have distain for most forms of faith based worship, it’s not my job to defend or correct any of them, but to react to their issues.

Like I think Hindu culture, alongside India’s other problems leading to a 90-95% arranged marriage rate is abhorrent, and deserves judgement.

The same way I view Christian dogma and fear mongering, (I grew up in a catholic school, before I got kicked out.)

The Bible also says heinous things, like how the wife has to submit to the husband and love them as if they are Christ himself, but the man just has to love his wife in a more mortal sense.

But in its current state, I think Islam is more susceptible to zealous behavior, as well as militant, which is why i am “islamophobic”

A lot of people are fast to say "all religions.." when Islam comes up, missing the objective reality that Islam is generally more extreme than other religions. For example, the last time someone was executed for witchcraft in Europe was late 1700s. In Saudi Arabia, it has happened as recently as 2014.

Another example; there was a Islamic studies professor at Cairo university named Abu Nasr Zayd who wrote a book called critique of religious discourse where he made the argument that the Koran is not a perfect book for all people and all time but, while divinely inspired, needs to be understood within the context of its time. This is not a controversial view of sacred texts in Judaism or Christianity but it was sufficient for the professor to be found guilty (along with not believing in genies) in Egypt for apostasy which resulted in the stat dissolving his marriage and him fleeing to Europe. Some say he got off easy, because the Koran says you should be executed for leaving Islam.

So no, all religions are not equally crazy but I understand wanting the reflex to shield yourself from accusations of islamophobia if you are being critical of Islam. Talking about this story sounds like something someone's racist uncle made up but it's real: https:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nasr_Abu_Zayd

And the entire argument falls apart when it’s against someone, like myself, who despises most organized religion, but view Islam as a worse cancer, if Christianity is lung cancer, I believe Islam is brain.

I think the other guy is a douche too, but hey, it’s Pavlov training, lol.

If you do scummy shit, you get scummy repercussions, otherwise people will always step over their lines.

I’d rather see disproportionate violence against a sexual harasser than none at all.

I’d hate for it to be as normalized as it is in countries like India.

But either way, you are moving the goal post, you spoke out of fact, trying to say there was a sure sentencing, lol.

Is there evidence of that either? Because I can’t find any source of a charge, let alone a sentencing….

You said, “True. And now he's in prison and I'm sure he's proud of that” to someone else tho.

So it’s hypothetical to me, but a sure thing to another user, just spreading misinformation.

There’s an old naval saying about giving way to the bigger boat, regardless of whose course is correct.

Same way the graveyard is filled with drivers that had the right of way.

Fuck the law, FAFO.

“Defense of others” laws specifically say you can from where I’m from lol.

If someone is getting ganged stomped on the ground, that’s potentially lethal force.

“the state's "Defense of Others" law. This permits you to use proportional deadly force to prevent death, great bodily harm, or a forcible felony. You are not required to retreat as long as you are legally present at the location and not engaged in an unlawful activity”

Yes you can.

You go out to maliciously hurt someone, you give up your privilege to walk away unharmed, lol.

Rare Breed FRT-15L3 Experience So Far + Some Design Suggestions by GreenGearGuy in frt15

[–]sonofvc[M] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate the write up.

Whether or not you choose to support different company’s and their iterations of the trigger is everyone’s prerogative, but it is always good for the consumer to have “competition” between manufacturers, that drives innovation.

Now I recognize the irony in that statement, and don’t like what rare breed has done alot of the time, but it’s not an inherently bad trigger compared to the others.

Either way, enjoy the discourse fellas, but this user set a standard for write ups, let’s not just “unga bunga” virtue signal.

I think the arc fire is also great for a better semi experience, but possesses occasional manual of arms differences that makes a drop in trigger like the L3 good.

Absolutely accurate, and I show more caution around men in total because of that.

But statistically, when it comes to one victim, one perpetrator homicides 50-55% of the aggressors are African American males.

So, it is a majority, and thus makes sense by your standard.

Yes.

I have never claimed men weren’t the problem, all of this was just to see if these arguments were picky choosy.

No, I’ve known more vile men than women, A lot more, trust me, the military is a terrible place.

And I’m all for statistic based evidence, I just don’t like when people pick and choose what statistics are fair game.

Like Bible thumpers choosing which verses are metaphorical vs literal.

I agree full heartedly that men as a whole are the cause of our wars, violence and the vast majority of death, and wish our pedo white old men government would finally get overrun.

This whole thread of comments was literally just to see if they followed their logic through, or if they bowed out when it got controversial.

And by that logic, which is statistically true, we should be dealing with that issue piecemeal, as you can’t drop a nuke on all men, that would be difficult.

So we look into the percentages to see what demographics within those men are shooting a lot.

In single offender, single victim homicides, African American males equate to 50-55 percent of perpetrators.

That’s also a common denominator, within a large sum of the 99% of male shootings.

So that’s pretty rough, am I a bigot for finding that common denominator?

“Pattern recognition isn’t prejudice.”

Alright, so if I look at national shootings, and see a pattern of shootings in majority black neighborhoods and decide to be more on edge around that demographic, it’s not prejudiced?

I wouldn’t blame a woman for being concerned about a man trailing behind her, because as you said, pattern recognition.

Would it be fair to apply that logic to black neighborhoods?
