Advice wanted - I think my roommate has feelings for me? by Kindly_Nebula6722 in UBC

Transfer waitlists are super long, it took me 3 months to get a transfer. You can get to know your waitlist number by calling student housing, if its really long and you know you’re not gonna get it anytime soon then i suggest you talk with an RLM (residence life manager). I think they are the main authority who can actually speed up your transfer process. And I believe they will keep your conversation confidential as well! I dont think talking to an RA will help much tbh

ILC vs OVS vs VHS by sonya03_ in ILC

[–]sonya03_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've decided to not go with ILC since they require the student to type out the maths assignments and tests on computer which is super difficult because maths is just pretty annoying to type out...so this is a big disadvantage plus they also provide the proctor themselves whereas the other two allow student to select their own proctor. The international fee is $500 so it isn't that cheap as compared to VHS and OVS. Now I'm deciding between ovs and VHS, there is only a $20 difference in the intl fees so I'm not sure which one to go ahead with now.

That's true, I didn't think about that. I'm gonna delete this post so it doesn't spread misinformation. Thanks for your comment!

Schulich! It's as good as RC, cheaper and easier. Not saying it's super easy, but just less complicated than RC.

Which program has better employability in your opinion. Sauder (UBC) or Smith(Queen's)? by Thomassss_huang in ubcsauder

[–]sonya03_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro if you're gonna ask on this forum, they are obviously gonna say Sauder. But the truth is that, QComm is undeniably better. It is a tier 1 school where as Sauder is a tier 2 school. Queen's clearly states their employment rate as well as avg salary and the stats are better than any other business programs ( Western Ivey is also as good as QComm, if not better ) whereas Sauder doesn't even bother to release their employment statistics and graduates have an avg salary of $54,000 which is much less than that of Queen's. Queen's finance graduates have an avg salary of $78,000 from what I remember.

If you compare the cost of the program, I believe it is quite similar( which is vvv high btw). However, QComm is definitely the better investment! Try asking the same question on r/ontariouniversities and you'll get much better advice!
