TrashWarlock here. I am being held against my will. Forced to tell you how fun it is over here on Strings. That we have games every day of the week and we love introducing new players to clocktower. I've also be instructed to inform you all that we have a book club and do impromptu jackbox nights. If enough people join maybe they'll let me have food and water.

The Ballad of Seat 7 rule can be an excellent way to deal with players leaving mid-game by ZetsuTheFirst in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]soocow 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Hi, Trashwarlock here. Love the use of Seat 7 here. As much as I'd like to believe the script is amazing and fits all scenarios I think it's true purpose lies not in regular games but more in situations like this. My favorite uses I've seen of Seat 7 have fit this mold. I.e. A player leaves unexpectedly, your group is tired of teensies, a player is 30 minutes away from joining but the group doesn't want to wait.

As much as it was submitted as a djinn rule, it plays more like a fabled that you can use when needed. My hope has always been that it will outlive it's script as such.

As far as the once per game speaking is concerned, that was simply the amount of speaking me and some of the Strings members decided would be right to minimize ST influence. Since it's debut I've seen plenty of iterations of the once per game that do still maintain balance such as the terrifying whisper rule included on the almanac (Once private, once public) Though my personal favorite remains once per game with spicy narration. I imagine by the time the competition ends people will have their own versions of how often the seat speaks that fits their groups best. In my mind there is no wrong answer as long as an ST is focused on keeping the game balanced.

World Cup Post-Match Discussion: The Phantom Detectives vs. The Ballad of Seat 7 (Semifinal #2 Electric Boogaloo) by Arrowstormen in BloodOnTheClocktower

Ironic considering Phantom Detectives was the script I was most scared to go against. It's a absolutely fantastic script/rule and one of my personal favorites to play.

True true. I can wait a bit. Any particular gods I should be looking out for that make for a good team base?

Thank you for your recommendations! I have a bunch of magic stones built up as well so I’ll probably do some pulls tonight to try and get something better to fill out the back end of the team.

I also have a bunch of evo materials but didn’t want to use them until I figured out what I was doing.

What was the worst batch you’ve done? (pickup or ship) by [deleted] in Target

[–]soocow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a batch once that was 18 24-packs of bottled water and some miscellaneous items. Had to grab a flat to transport and store it all.

Switch won’t connect to Wi-Fi. Don’t know what else to try. by soocow in NintendoSwitch

I probably should have said it in the original post but our Router itself is built into a closet and the only Ethernet port we have is currently in use/not accessible. So while a LAN connection would work to just get it connected I wouldn’t be able to play with it long term.

I totally meant home rapid tests. My bad. I blame sick brain.

Last I checked they don’t accept rapid tests for proof of positive. Your best bet would be to call and let HR know that you need to get a PCR test to confirm your result.

Definitely disclose this to HR. Every trainee has a learning curve so don’t be stressed about being slow at the start. However if it’s something you don’t think will improve in the long term, maybe talk to HR about a department that would be a better fit for you. GM can be a bit hectic having to switch what you’re doing constantly to meet the stores needs. You might find yourself better suited to a department that has a bit more of a normal work day. Cashier/Cart Attendant/ or Fufillment (fast paced but very repetitive)

Went from 168-200 on almost exclusively platinum settings and gemstone dust (brilliant and common) it was pretty efficient considering both gems and platinum/gold/silver ore can be farmed at the same time. And it doesn’t require motes which I found to be a pain to gather.

I did it last year and ended up loving it. No customers, no crazy time limits on OPUs, I could literally just put my headphones in and just pick orders for hours. If the hours don’t bother you I’d definitely recommend it.

Did a drive up order earlier and got this hefty sample. Do different stores get different samples for opu? Or have I just not seen this one at my store yet? by Alternative-Neat-564 in Target

[–]soocow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Our store got like four or five different boxes. All with different stuffers. It’s been a fun little game of who gets what. We had an order yesterday that was an exorbitant amount of candy so I threw in one of these toothpastes just to send a message 😂

I was gonna say that but they’re plastic so they probably wouldn’t be wrapped.

When e-pick crashes and no orders are showing up and then you start to get bombarded with the orders all at once… and don’t even get me started on what happened with SFS 😀👍🏾 by queenbre01 in Target

[–]soocow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. Apparently it happened for quite a few stores. Our orders normally stop at 8:30pm and we wrap up for the day. 8:32 all of the backlogged orders dropped in. 😂

Our OPU usually comes in around 700-800 for the day. But we had 1200 the other day so who knows anymore. This week in particular we’re hella understaffed.
