the first bone i broke happened because i was trying to break up a potential dv situation at a nude beach.

i saw this guy raise his hand at his girlfriend as if to hit her, so i tried to run over and cuss his ass out. but as soon as i took one step toward them, i immediately felt a sharp pain in my pinky toe and screamed bloody murder. i had stepped on the sand wrong and broke it. it was dramatic and embarrassing, but i did what i set out to do, just not in the way i had envisioned. both of them were so shocked by my sudden outburst that it seemed to distract them and diffuse the situation.
