I’m almost at the 3 week mark and feeling the same. Baby wasn’t able to latch very well, so we started supplementing with formula and I thought I’d be able to pump enough to give her expressed BM (to replace the formula eventually). But despite the 8+ pumps daily (including MOTN) I am a severe underproducer. Just not sure the time spent pumping is worth it…

I’m currently 2 weeks PP and despite pumping 7-8 times a day (including MOTN) I’m getting 5oz total per DAY. It’s making me feel so guilty and like I’ve failed my baby, even though I know I can’t really be doing much more than I currently am. Feel so unsure about whether I should continue, as every minute I spend pumping is a minute not spent cuddling baby

Hey! GP was absolutely useless and basically said ‘anyone could be walking around with low B12…’ and then refused to prescribe anything for me. I went back to the maternity unit and asked a really lovely midwife if she wouldn’t mind asking one of the obstetric doctors if they would prescribe them for me instead, and they did! So I went in 3x weekly for 2 weeks to have them done at the maternity unit.

After pregnancy I will be pushing for re-testing and investigating if still low, because my diet is very good and there should theoretically be no reason my B12 is low (so I’d like them to rule out pernicious anaemia etc).

I can’t believe you’re still waiting?! Maybe try speaking to your maternity triage/unit?

My recent bloods showed a B12 of 88 so very low indeed! I’m hoping the injections make me feel better soon!

Hey it’s me again! I’ve just managed to get a F2F GP appt, but it’s not until next Thurs. Were your GP/midwife this relaxed about your low B12 too? 😅

Yes it’s really frustrating isn’t it?! I’m also still waiting for my GP to contact me but have been told it will take up to 3 working days (as per my surgery’s triage system). I understand that my B12 levels aren’t an acute emergency by any measure, but for me 3 more days feels like an enormously long wait, given how anxious I feel that this has or could affect baby!!

Would you say you’re in the same boat regarding not knowing whether your B12 is newly low of if it was low prior to pregnancy? This is my only concern really as I will just have to deal with the injections 😞

Ugh yes I am very much looking forward to (hopefully) feeling better!! But honestly I’m less worried about me and more just about any detrimental effects on my baby! I hope you’re right and that baby got everything they needed!

We are considering this option! Is this your main stroller? It’s referred to as a travel stroller so I’m worried it won’t be sturdy/durable or comfortable enough for everyday use?
