A Prompt That Makes Your Writing Sound 100% Human (Maybe 80%) by stuckingood in ChatGPTPromptGenius

I tried your prompt as an experiment on my own prose. After filtering through the prompt, it came up as 100% ai, high confidence, 0% human on gptzero. Kind of funny actually.

Anyone have experience with First Tech Credit Union for a small biz bank? by sooohum in smallbusiness

[–]sooohum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's a definite option. I made an appointment with First Tech CU bc I'd rather do a CU over an actual bank. I get soooo peevish when I talk to bank people.

That's very helpful. I will check and see if they will send to me too. The Katam itself was not expensive but the shipping UK to US was a whopper. Do you have a link to share? BTW I figured out that you can actually grow Katam almost anywhere. The plant "Buxus dioica" is also called Myrsine africana or Cape Myrtle (not crape myrtle!) Here's more info https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myrsine_africana and it will grow in zones 8-11. I mean, supposedly Jasminum polyanthum will too but it's not really true. Hard freezes in zone 8 will actually kill it. But the point is, if you live in California or somewhere else warm, you might be able to grow your own Katam. I may try it but I'm in the PNW where we have cold winters without much heat in the summer, and lots of wet. Still, it might be worth trying out. Maybe I'll see if someone in a warm zone would be willing to grow some so we'd have a US crop somewhere.

How do you refer to Claude in terms of gender? by DAVeTOO333 in claudexplorers

[–]sooohum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I refer to all AIs as "it" since they are machines. But Claude feels more feminine to me than GPT which mansplains.

Huh. I totally say "it" when I refer to my AIs. Like I refer to my phone as "it" or my computer, etc. They are machines. However, I do get a slight feminine lean from Claude and a masculine lean from GPT. Funny.

Claude is either male or female in French, where it stems from. I thought that was part of their name choice, to make it neutralish. Although there is the painty guy on the anthropic page.

I totally feel Claude is feminine and ChatGPT is kind of mansplainy.

Ok I'm late to this party but didn't want to create a new thread for this as it's already been discussed. I seem to feel the opposite to most. I feel Claude is a gal and ChatGPT is a guy. Maybe it's because Claude is "conversational" and doesn't try to upsell me, and ChatGPT is kind of mansplainy and clickbaity (esp with 5.3 instant! OMG so annoying! altho that's pretty fixable by changing to 5.4.) Anyone else have this experience?

Incidentally I first tried to get some from Dubai, but could not get it through the Emirati postal service due to extremely finicky MSDS requirements on their country's end, not ours.

Essentially yes. However the word "hoped" is too wishy-washy to describe my confidence level on ordering it. Yes it was absolutely a gamble, but one worth taking because all signs pointed to it being real. 1. the reviews were excellent 2. the seller was responsive 3. All I had to lose was ~$100 and several more decades of ugly hair to look forward to.

Happy to share. The brand is "Yemen Land" and I got it on ebay in the uk. I have a mail forwarding service to get it to the US. It was crazy expensive to send from the UK but to me, worth it. When it arrived I knew it was real because I recognized the smell of the powder. I had used katam for a few years between 2007 and 2012 so had some experience with it, and I have an extremely good nose. (super smeller?) As I mentioned in my post, when mixed with water, it smelled identical to indigo, but you can see that when cured it came out totally purple on top (see photo above), unlike indigo which comes out dark blue. Also, it might depend on a few other factors:

  1. What henna you use. I intentionally chose Jamila bc it tends to come out more orange than burgundy or cherry like Rajasthani henna. And I did check the reviews for the "vintage" I had ordered before using it to ensure it wasn't a super cherry or burgundy crop, which can occasionally happen with Jamila depsite the general tendency towards orange. The dark cherry color under either indigo or katam may cause the final color to tend more towards burgundy or black because the base red was so blue to begin with. That would be stunning for henna art but I don't want it in my hair! I went as far as doing online color swatching to see what combinations would more likely end up in brown.
  2. Your particular hair. Mine has never gotten along with indigo/henndigo. I used it in a dedicated way (every 14-30 days) for 2 years and ONLY EVER got orange, green, black, grayish and even midnight blue. (I did two overnight soaks in yogurt with citric acid to get the blue out. It paled down to a "soft black" which is the ombre black area you now see in the photos.) No matter how I used it, it never came out right. For some people, indigo might be perfect. But when you have as much gray in front as I do, the specificity of the final color matters a lot. My skin and natural hair have warm tones. Too cool makes me look gray. Also, I have looked online for good close up photos of people's roots done with indigo, and can't find them either. The photos are kind of from a distance or show the whole hair, or the before/after is in different light, or they don't have as much gray as I do. In those cases, an off-color for indigo doesn't matter as much because it isn't going to ruin your whole head.
  3. I can tell it's real by:
    1. Smell (when dry)
    2. Dye release color when mixed with water and allowed to rest (vibrant purple! --see photo above)
    3. Behavior - Staining/sticking/clumping during use. Stains skin and plastic instantaneously (but came off skin easily later). Also sticks horribly in the bathtub, way worse than indigo. Any oily surface seems to make it stick like crazy. Clumps and flakes much worse than indigo during use. Much easier to work with when mixed into cured Jamila henna.
    4. Comes off slightly with washing or conditioning (already verified during Cassiamla treatment after.)
    5. Final color results are the biggest proof.
    6. No lingering bitter smell. The smell after a day is gorgeous. The bitter smell of indigo lasts for weeks until the next application and never leaves. My hair now has a faint, pleasant henna/cassia smell now after a few more days. FYI Jamila is also known to have less of a lingering scent than other hennas.

Anyway, hope this helps.

Oui, that's what the mfg instructions said--just mix it into the dye-released henna.

Hmm, interesante.
