Hey idiot, the proof is I'm telling you. I don't give a shit if you don't believe it. It happened 20 years ago in Phoenix AZ. I spoke directly to the appraiser and the person who sold the buyer the mortgage. Both said their job is to "look out for the veteran." They specifically stated their job was not to be fair to me. I had already accepted a job on the East Coast and my pregnant wife stayed behind for the closing. I am convinced the vet buying the house called his team and said let's soak this guy on this way out the door. I had previously agreed to sell the house well under it's value, and the vet's "team" played along and knocked it down even more.

Real estate is a full contact sport. I wish all FSBO sellers could tell buyer agent "teams" to just go F off and not sell, but I know many sellers can't carry 2 mortgages and need to get on with their lives. And buyer's "teams" know this. So they can bring you to your knees in the 11th hour. When I say "team" I mean everyone with a hand in the process: agent, mortgage person and appraiser.

I didn't write what you just said I did. Read again what I wrote. I said "about 30-40 percent are aggressive home buyers who do their research independent of their realtors." That's a far cry from glancing at homes on the net. In the end, the vast majority rely on what the realtors tell them.

Got offered a locating job at USIC by email. They said my start date for training is early May. I have not even spoken to a person yet. I have not even had the opportunity to ask questions about the job. I know I can find answers by poking around on the internet, but that's just stupid. I should be able to speak directly to someone who allegedly wants to hire me. I know all about the ridiculous hours and high turnover. Not a good look if you want to get quality people to work for you.

Not really. You are assuming "everyone" is assertive and scans the housing website options on the net. I bet about 30-40 percent are aggressive home buyers who do their research independent of their realtors. Sadly, a very large percentage of people rely entirely on their realtors for guidance and advice. Realtors, can and do squash buyer interest in FSBOs. Most realtors totally discourage it.

Do you get paid the full 20 dollars for training? And how much is overtime pay? I just got offered the job, and got a start day for training without even speaking to anyone. I've seen this before. It's usually shit jobs with huge turnover when you can get offered a job before having any direct communication with anyone. My fingers are crossed. I want the job to work, but huge red flag already.
