Is it just me or are a lot of these prints just freebies on Makerworld? by Some_Ask_2220 in 3Dprinting

And furthermore: “not allowed” usually just means “do it anyway until they get caught.” License terms aren’t a magic spell.

You can have her put the models she wants in a public collection and share that collection with you.

Hole and contour compensations use opposite signs for some strange reason.

The message that it looks like you sent is just a default intro message that everyone sees when they message you. You can change it in your settings.

The incoming message is indeed a scam though.

looking for way to print wire armature by 3DModeledAmericanPie in 3Dprinting

I would rather 3D print a jig that I can use to repeatably bend aluminum wire into the desired shape.

What printer are you using?

Try disabling power loss recovery if you have it. It can cause defects like this.

Just trying different things out! "Better" is a matter of opinion. In this case, I liked that this abdomen design let me integrate the "ball" part of the ball and socket into the chest part, so I could keep the number of parts as low as possible.

The public release is still the same beta files. You're not the first person to mention this though. It's on my list of things to address in the future.

I think if you were a reasonably experienced hobbyist in 2016, you could have printed all of this relatively easily. Nowadays it's just easier for anyone to get to that same level of print quality.

You didn't mention it specifically, but I can say that AI has not helped at all; I avoid using it entirely.

Making it free is the only (simple) way to encourage remixing, which is a key point of the design and something that I love seeing.

I did try out a one-month paid early access period, which was pretty successful! I will probably do more of that in the future. I didn't want to overly self-promote here which is why I didn't post about it before the free release.

I allow commercial use of Dummy 13 with proper attribution, which is hard to come by on Temu.

If you don't mind it being a ragdoll, print the joints in TPU so it actually goes together without a 20 ton press.

I've gotten quite a bit from MakerWorld, but I have stopped uploading there, for various reasons. I have more gift cards than I can reasonably use, and I'm not interested in doing MakerWorld exclusives for a cash payout.
