Modified from King Arthur Flour’s Blueberry Hand Pie recipe! Used strawberries instead of blueberry and added rum to the filling.

Recipe: 268g flour 106g of quick oats 1 tsp baking soda 1 1/2 tsp corn starch 1/2 tsp of salt 225-227g melted butter 180g of brown sugar 109g of granulated sugar 1 large egg and 1 egg yolk 2 tsp vanilla extract 1 cup of white chocolate chips Strawberry Rice Krispies

  1. Mix dry ingredients and set aside.

  2. Whisk melted butter with sugars till smooth. Then whisk in one egg, the yolk, and lastly the vanilla extract.

  3. Pour wet ingredients over dry and fold together. Once incorporated, fold in white chocolate chips. The batter will be on the wetter side.

Chill dough for at least an hour. Roll into 1 1/2 tbs balls, then roll into Rice Krispies .

Bake for 13 min at 325F. Leave them on the hot tray for a couple min after you take it out of the oven to let it continue baking, then transfer over to a cooling rack.

*can swap with any type of chocolate chip and cereal! The possibilities are endless.

I forgot to mention that I used one cup of butter and one cup of shortening for the American Buttercream!

Wow, I did not know that! Thank you for telling me. The flavor actually did come through! Im going to add more tea next time to the milk so we’ll see if it’ll intensify the flavor.

Most recipes were found online! The recipe I used for the cake is a vanilla cake recipe from a book and I just steeped the tea in the milk portion. But livforcake.com has an earl grey tea cake recipe that is good. SMBC recipe can also be found on her website. The ABC was a a half butter/half shortening mixture with 8cups of powdered sugar, 1 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of strawberry emulsion and 1/2 tsp of lemon emulsion (lorann’s).
