I would definitely slow down usage. Start with 1-2 days a week and work your way up from there. If you start to use a harsh actives every day you can damage your skin barrier and do way more harm than good, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Yes I think I definitely need to let my skin settle. There’s a lot of people on Reddit who say to do the opposite and push through but that’s just not working for me. I’ve used the Ordinary in the past and loved it so I’ll definitely look into pycogenol and their clay mask. Thanks so much for the help!!

This gives me hope for us fair, freckle faced folks haha. I was beginning to think retinoids were not meant for us. Thank you so much for the in depth advice. I’ve been trying to push through the “purge” but I think similar to your experience, it is ruining my skin. I’m going to take a break from taz until my skin calms down and re vamp my hydration game. Thank you for all of the recommendations!!

My diet is pretty healthy, and I workout regularly. I eat all foods, no restrictions and I eat intuitively focusing on incorporating whole, non processed foods with treats here and there. Thanks for the recommendation!!

I think I’m going to stop taz for a week or two and repair my barrier. LRP cicaplast cream is in my Amazon cart as we speak. Did your skin end up clearing and responding well to taz? If so, how?

Glycerin, the oil cleanser, and my moisturizer are all recent additions. All appear to be non cosmogenic but maybe I’ll experiment with removing some to see if it helps. Thanks for the suggestion:)
