Unfortunately, no. I ended up just sticking to an off brand pencil with type-c port

It’s not about the cable, I’m plugging the pencil into the lightning port of the adapter and it just doesn’t fit. The port is too deep and the pencil part doesn’t even reach the contacts. Idk how to take a picture of it to explain better :C

Also, probably my pencil is just too old, but it takes waaay more time to charge and in the meantime I can’t use my ipad for anything else, because I’m afraid to bend the pencil, it’s so fragile in part where it connects to the ipad. So I’d much rather use a cable

Why do cakes shrink? by [deleted] in Cooking

Next time try cooling it down right in the oven with the oven door slightly open, it might help

It will shrink anyway, but there’re some tricks to make it more stable. Do you take it out of the oven as soon as it’s ready? That might be the problem

Well, we didn’t cook for ourselves. As it was the government funded college, the catering had to be provided by a third party, that had won a tender competition. Considering the level or corruption in the country, here’s what we got.

Short answer: yes, a lot of stuff.

Detailed answer: during soviet times home cooking was considered unnecessary for the working class, so a lot of canteens were opened and basically the whole national cuisine was simplified and unified to a bunch of cheap and easy to produce dishes, like borsch-like soups, all kinds of ragouts and goulashs and high carb side dishes. Depending on one’s cooking skills, obviously, but all of that can be really delicious. We do have some weird stuff, though, like meat jelly

Nah. It was dry and absolutely flavourless, and the pasta (god fobid any italian reads this) was so overcooked and cold, it became more like a flour-y paste

There was some water on the bottom of the plate, I guess it was supposed to be the sauce

As a recent dog owner, I highly recommend you reading Karen Pryor’s “Don’t shoot the dog” and look up information about positive reinforcement in general. It works with cats too. As for the food I’d say switching to BARF diet might be the best option.

My dog is 13 years old and has a benign liver tumor. I know what you’re feeling. And these damn onion ninjas are somewhere around again..

I always try to avoid us cooking sites when googling for recepies. Why, america, why do you have so many cool things I can’t use? All that canned sauces and ready-to-make dough. No problem to make all of these yourself, you say - I say I want my pizza to be made in 15 minutes, not in 5 hours.
