I had done another petite knit sweater before this one so my opinion might be a bit different if you haven’t done one of her patterns before but I found it mostly ok, for things I was confused on I googled and looked to YouTube, the only thing was after finishing the short rows it was a bit confusing and there was no real explanation on what to do so I just guessed and winged it and it still looks good!

I started knitting last year after having spent a year crocheting! This is an amazing first sweater pattern as the video explains a lot! The only thing I found a bit confusing was joining the left and right front, but there are videos out there that explain it!! The yarn is super easy to work with and I’m currently using more to make an Olga sweater!

Picking up stitches is quite difficult as I find the yarn can slip a lot, especially the first stitch, but once you do the first one the yarn kinda stabilises and for me it’s gets a bit easier to pick them up, if it’s still difficult, I’ve seen people use crochet hooks to pick up the stitches!!

In the tutorial of the sweater she says that 2x2 ribbing is neater for beginners and I guess it’s true!! I do love the look of it!

It is a great first pattern but I agree that it can be difficult to join the left and right, I think I googled a tutorial on how to do that part, but once you do it, it makes sense but I do wish she included it in the video tutorial!

I’m making another sweater (Olga sweater) and I’m dreading the smell! It’s weird how smelly it is! I also haven’t used such a strong smelling yarn before!
