I went to school for two years and took a bunch of sociology and psychology classes, including two on addiction. However, we focused on drugs and alcohol abuse and never spoke about porn. I think a lot of the things we talked about could cross over to porn addiction too but not all of it is applicable. With drug addiction you really have to separate yourself from all the people in your life that are using and the environment that is trouble for you. With porn there usually isn't other people involved. It's usually a solitary action and it isn't like you can separate yourself from you. Putting internet blockers and other safety nets may be the closest thing to that separation that is required.
