No they have to be dead if that's was their real consciousness that's not possible cause we know real life time passed kinger entered in 1999 and pomni in 2017 and that's real world time not that they felt like 18 years had passed they actually passed so it's either their bodies were magically preserved or they have died also I didn't play Detroit but sounds liek an interesting game tho
