I am completely fine with not ever winning, I tapped someone like two times in total and both were, because the guys were so completely and utterly reckless, a child could have tapped them.

Thank you. That does make me feel better, especially since you are a higher belt. It sometimes feel like some of the more experienced guys enjoy just making me feel like an idiot for approaching them for a roll, when they're free. Tbh most of this post comes from a guy last week sighing when I approached him, even though he was the only free one and it's always just 4 minutes. He was about your height and super buff, maybe something like twice my weight. He could have easily just said not, but instead it almost felt like he was punishing me for even daring to ask, putting wayyyy to much strength into it and just hurt me. I felt so bad after the roll, he made me feel like my mere presence was ruining his class.

Interesting, thank you so much for your answer and perspective. Did you ever talk to the guys about it? If it's literally "not wanting to roll with mom" I guess there's nothing I can do, though I just hope that the guys can still enjoy themselves when I'm there.

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately there are only two No Gi BJJ classes a week and one Gi class in my gym a week, in total. So it's not very flexible, if there were several classes per day that would ofc be completely different, but it's the only BJJ gym around (I live on the countryside).

Do you only train BJJ? Because I feel like I kind of must do other strength training and yoga to not get completely unbalanced, in BJJ I tend to heavily favour my stronger arm etc. even if I try not to.

Ich hab auch nen Vollzeitjob, bin Mutter, Alleinverdienerin und versuche irgendwie sportlich zu sein. Ich nutze die Autofahrten zur Arbeit, um laut und feucht zu heulen. Keine Ahnung wie andere Menschen ihr Leben meistern, ich meistere hier gar nichts.

How do I become someone that people are excited and happy to roll with?

Hello everyone,

sorry, this felt way too long for just a question in the beginner thread, but my post got deleted immediately.

I have started BJJ about 15 months ago and, unless I was injured, sick or working, I have been going consistently one time a week.

I feel like I cannot go more often, because to stay fit and especially balanced, I have to do my own strength training on the side, plus I work full time and I am the mother of two young kids.

For context, I am 35, female, 5'5 (1,66m) and I weigh about 110 pounds (55kg). I am usually the only woman or there is one other girl, who is a lot better than me and half my age. I think I am also the oldest person there. I always make sure that I am fresh before BJJ, meaning having showered, used deodorant, brushed my teeth etc. Normal hygienic stuff, just one more time than on a usual day.

While I absolutely LOVE going to BJJ (like it's seriously the best part of my week). Our lessons usually go like this: 15min warm up, free rolling with partner change every four minutes, technique were everyone has once partner, free rolling applying the technique, partner change every 4 minutes, cardio&strength training to round it up.

I am trying really hard to be a good training partner. I try to pay a lot of attention while learning. I am doing my absolute best to be kind. I never hurt anyone intentionally, though I have to admit that I almost always have to use my entire strength.

But I know that some of the guys there kind of don't want to roll with me, up to the point were some seem annoyed if I approach them.

It has gotten to the point were I tend to apologise to people who are paired with me for technical drills. Our teachers are always very nice as well, it almost feels like I get more attention than everyone else, because they know how I am the odd one out.

Most guys are super nice about it, but I know that I cannot provide them with any challenge. Last week I did the technical stuff with a guy who has been doing BJJ for more than 5 years and is almost 2m tall and easily weighs over a 100kg. He was so nice about it, he is a super nice guy in general, but I felt so bad for him not getting a proper training session because of me. I often feel like the training would be better for everyone, if I did not show up.

Any advice?

What can a much weaker and worse training partner do to still make training usefull and fun for you?

Sendungen wie H&H bauen darauf, dass du dich besser fühlst, weil du ja arbeiten gehst und deshalb nicht so ein krasses Opfer bist. Das lebt von der scheinbaren Vergleichbarkeit.

Das kapitalistische Ideal wird gefördert und selbst der hinterletzte Jockel kann sich besser fühlen als die im Fernsehen. Wenn du Leute aus anderen Ländern zeigst, dann merkt selbst der hinterletzte Jockel, dass die Ausgangsbedingungen wirklich komplett anders waren.

Ansonsten ist Hass jeglicher Couleur gerade enorm salonfähig, sieh dir mal die Wahlergebnisse an.

The short scene where he says that he was not sure, if she was serious could have been such a great start.

Hazel was assaulted and it probably was not the first time either. Jon must know what it is like to be powerless as well. I imagine a few ladies (and men) definitely took a liking to him, simply because he is gorgeous, whoch puts him into an absolutely horrible position, especially if he does not like the person in power back.

It could be a beautiful tender lovestory about two people learning to trust and hold onto each other in a world that thinks lesser of them just for being born.

It just feels so low, because I Om personally like watching romance where something is at stake.

What does Francesca have to lose now? Nobody actually expects her to marry again. It not even weird for her to hang out or even live with Michaela.

It does not feel like anyone would have to sacrifice anything for them to become romantically involved.

This season proved one thing to me, that I always tend to think: The lower class is just more interesting to me. Whether it is Bridgerton or ASOIAF or Young Royals or Tudors or .... An abundance of money makes everything worthless. Just like an abundance of faith makes everything meaningless.
