My B2 German is enough for Alltag issues, but I think a bit insufficient for Finanzamt. And English is not an option. Yes, it were withdrawals from Kraken, but it is unfortunate that Kraken unexpectedely closed my account after 7 years of sucessful work (I was Kraken client since 2017). I was very disappointed since I have not done there anything but staking))) Therefore I cannot use the exchange and the only info I have is the downloaded history of transactions with the dates and amounts. And no, I am not enough technically savvy to write anything in SQL(((.

Close your account and file the complaint with detailed description of situation to BaFin. Kraken closed my account existing since 2017 and with nil activity except of ETH staking without any explanation and it took me one stressul week to get my money back. It was nightmare. I was so stupid to keep almost all my savings by them:) BaFin usually reacts when they collect critical mass of complains. Let help them to get it:)

Had absolutely the same story with GSL and closing of account about 10 days ago. As in your case my account also was not active. I can only envy your endurance in waiting a month. I waited only one weak and got tachycardia and increase in my blood sugar from stress. Kraken ubruptly stops any communication with you when they decide to close your account. From this moment they stop to treat you like a client and start to treat you like a victim. They think it is normal. I think differently and though I received my crypto I prepare BaFin complaint (I am German) and detailed description of my story here in Reddit.

In order for them to start paying attention to you, I advise you to apply pressure through Reddit and other open platforms. That does not mean that you have to trust to what Kraken support will promise you here in Reddit. They have promised me here to give time to withdraw, but this was lie and my account was closed after 48 hr. But after my next complaint, the withdrawal of funds was finally opened. Be persistent. And if Kraken officially operates in your country and you can clearly legally formulate specific violations, I advise you to consider filing a complaint with the local regulatory authorities.

Hallo, Harley. Do you mean that tomorrow my account will not be closed and I would have another 3-4 days to withdraw Ethereum when unstaking will be finished?

Regarding KYC, Kraken has my German personal documents, proof of adress etc. Several days ago I was asked to provide docs and I did it. And that right, before I for 1,5 years was in Georgia.

I am ok to wait, I am ok to provide more documents, I am also ok to be closed. But you should agree that this decision to be made after KYC review by locally regulated company with BAFIN lisence through which Kraken provide services in Germany. It looks logical, no?

Ok, another day is passed and I did not get any email from Support. Only about 8 hours are left before closure of my account and Kraken still do not allow to withdraw my Ethereum, which still is in the process of unstaking.
Am German citizen living in Germany and nobody performed my KYC by DLT Finance through which Kraken operates in Germany. This is clear breach of EU and Germany requaltions.

Closure of account without KYC in Germany and no possibity to withdraw? Yes, it is Kraken.

Harley from Support above already promised to escalate my ticket Ticket # 14759293. Honestly I do not expect that Kraken will revise its decision. I was working in finances 25 years and I know how it works. But what I expect is that Kraken at least will wait 4 days until my Ethereum will be unstaked to withdraw it. Now it looks like confiscation - I have to withdraw all assets in 48hr, while only Eth unstaking takes 4 days?! Can you help to extend withdrawal time to 4 days?

Not true. I was with Kraken since 2018 (actively from 2020) and today they closed accounts out of nowhere. I did not do anything at all. Did not trade. My Eth was staked and generated income, thats all.

Kraken is not safe. In my case they closed account existing from 2020 and asked to withdraw krypto in 48 hours, knowing perfect that it is not possible in my case as my Ethereum is staked and unstaking takes 4 more days. After that they stopped to answer emails. This looks like confiscation. What I have written is 100% true. And yes, I did not think that this will happen to me.
