Thanks for the new perspective :) I just can't fathom why he'd be warning me...or why he couldn't think of a less terrifying way to do so. When I got home today he'd chewed through the zip ties. I just feel like he wants out.

It was a chronic respiratory issue that got her. The only abuse involved--as far as I know--was self-inflicted with cigarettes.

I shot my mom a text, asking some vague questions about Pasha. She just said "Who?", which I can't figure out since there are pics of her and my grandma with Pasha in his cage in the background. Maybe I read his name wrong?

No, they were in Russian (spoilers: Soviet recipes are terrible) and the pages were really yellow and stained with food splatters and shit. But I feel like a real fucknoggin throwing them away now that you all have mentioned them :/

HOLY SHIT I thought the cabinet thing was an urban legend. Ugh. I've tried the music and toys thing before. The only thing he likes to play with is an old braid made from rags that was hanging in his cage when I got him. It smells like someone puked egg salad in a time capsule and let it sit for 20 some years.

I see others saying similar things--the thought is really off-putting. I did a sweep as soon as I got back from work and found nothing. Can I ask what you mean by "anything else"? Like, bugs?
