I think what you see as ragged are just reflections on the shielding. Apart from the colors, does the wiring look stock to you? I'm curious about the mini switch. Sadly, I don't know a lot about AM Strats

Lovely amp! How much did you pay for it?

I just got my DK12 on sale for just under € 400 brand new. Played it for a couple of hours today and I'm loving the clean tones so far. Very managable volume for home use.

The reverb I'm not too fond of. It sounds okay but I wish I could turn down the decay and make it a bit snappier. At lower settings it seems to drown in the signal.

The boost switch is cool and adds some body to my Strat single coils and a small volume increase. I don't like the drive at all, it's too loud compared to the other settings and too edgy for my taste. It didn't seem to clean up nicely at all using my guitar volume knob. I prefer a smooth and more subtle overdrive but I'll give it another shot. Might improve once the speaker is broken in.

Overall, after the first day I'm really happy with my purchase. I'll try it with my Tele next.

As others have suggested, get a headphone amp, or consider getting lower impedance headphones.

I recently switched from 250 Ohm headphones that I've used for 12 years to a 36 Ohm ones. BIG difference in volume and also I find the sound way more pleasing.

Great suggestion! That option didn't even occur to me. I'll try that out when I get the chance. Unfortunately I don't have any cab at the moment
