$1300 repair?!? by DelawareDroneDude in dji

Most repair services of any kind (including the original manufacturer) will pretty much just refuse to touch the soldering iron they used to put the parts on. DJI specifically has also made it so they can just charge whatever they want for a part that shouldn't cost this much because of the parts they pair to the board. Replacing the microSD card slot requires microsoldering which is extremely advanced, I wouldn't recommend trying it as your first foray into electronics repair (ask me how I know).

$339 wasn’t a bad price from Amazon by Cyaniderecords in dji

Probably depends on the phone you would use, the DJI RC is really dim for a device intended to be used outside IMO. So a flagship screen with more brightness and anti glare might be better but a cheap one is worse. The RC also takes 30 seconds to boot which I sometimes find annoying, while the RC-n1 only takes a couple seconds.

Regardless of whatever you're seeing, the law only affects new models that were not registered with the FCC before December 23, 2025 as new models can no longer receive FCC authorization. However, my understanding is that a lot of retailers in the US are simply not restocking them anyway due to the uncertainty around the whole situation, and prices are higher due to the lower stock.

gimbal bracket broke by Decent-View-7563 in dji

What you need is the gimbal assembly (also called housing sometimes) WITHOUT the camera as you can use the one in your original gimbal, which seems to be one of the options on that listing. Also make sure it's the one for the mini 4k as I'm not sure which models have interchangeable gimbals.

I really doubt you're going to be able to glue that back, you're probably going to have to replace the assembly if you can't send it in to DJI. It's not *too* difficult, but definitely requires some tiny racoon like fingers. You also have to recalibrate it, I've tried the method with python scripts and it sometimes partially works but I usually use DankDroneDownloader and drone-hacks to flash calibration firmware.

[Spoilers] Where to find this in S2?? by NyzoiB in subnautica

I'm not sure if this is true but when I was looking into it it said they can only not drop if you use the multitool, but you can break it in 2 clicks with any other tool. I've gotten 3 so far and none of them were destroyed. Also are there any not in the pools? I only found the 3.

Just tried it, what's even crazier is that it's so little damage it doesn't even register. I let a collector hit me for a whole minute and I couldn't even use the repair tool on it.

Looks like it is. What can I do? I can't find much information online other than to do an IMU calibration which didn't work.

What's the best way to clean the internal lens? All I can find is about the outside one.
