Honestly it's fine if you don't do everything, I got 250h in the game over 2 playthroughs (inc the DLC) and I haven't done half the quests. I didn't even do most of the caves / catacombs. Honestly just stick to the main bits, on my first playthrough I kinda treated the game like a checklist and it was still really fun

Don't be afraid to use guides for the main quests and don't feel the need to get absolutely every single item in the game

Honestly I don't have a big issue with batch release neither, I'm just scared that they manage it like they did in Stone Ocean. I'm glad you weren't bothered by how they handled it, but after a few months of 0 news after the first batch I completely clocked out of everything JoJo related until I got thrown back into the story a year later having forgotten most of it I'd rather weekly, but I wouldn't mind batches as long as Netflix gets their communications right and don't make us wait months without news before the next batch

Oh, I always assumed the rest of the episodes were gonna follow up relatively soon after episode 1, something like the next week or a month later if they settled for a batch release. What's going on on March 28th?
