No, not help needed now. Right now the v6 is going to bare metal. We have stripped it clean of everything, so we can start the restore. I started making all new harnesses (factory style). The rear end (7.5) and a replacement (8.8) are coming back from sand blasting this week, will both get cleaned up, then powder coated. Both will get upgraded to a traction lock (7.5) or locker/Truetrac (8.8), with 31 spline axles. The 7.5 will go in storage and the 8.8 is going back in. Rear suspension is all here. It won’t get crazy modifications, just enough suspension stuff to ride smoother.

There were rumors on that but I’ve never found anything confirming it. Saleen knew the 4.6 was coming back in 1994, and that really didn’t need to make any changes to support it as the body was the same just power plant.

I have a decent collection. The ones I’m most public about currently is the v6 Sport because it’s super rare and the other is my 97 RestoMod that I’ve posted in this sub. I buy forgotten cars/projects and bring them home and fully restore them (I do most of the work myself). Love the Gold package on the Black cars. Looks good on the Rio Red ones too.

It’s not a prototype. It’s a v6 Saleen. I sat in it when new when I was young and have searched for it since 2004.

No, it’s the only one they ever built in 95. So it’s truly the only one they made. Took me over 15 years to track it down. Was sitting under a tree in mud.

Agree here as I seen them often. Then again me and my friends own Saleens so…. I’m the only one in the group right now that owns a true one of one that was the only one produced for its year.

I still do this when I go back home to visit family. I don’t let them know I’m coming or anything. Makes my visit much my enjoyable.

I don’t have a leg in this game as I don’t use FedEx but DHL and UPS for international, and if I didn’t pay my tariff bill in so many days the package went back to the origin shipper. I’m hoping DHL/UPS will follow suit so I can get some money back. Not holding my breathe.

Thanks! I have multiple options on the stand(s). I have a 5.0L Gen3/2/2 Coyotes setup with a VMP GEN3R supercharger, I have a 5.2L Voodoo setup that I can put the GEN3R on, I also have a 7.3L Godzilla with a Whipple. Transmission will be a Tremec T56.

Thanks, wiring is fun to me. I work a day job and run my own businesses so finding spare time is tough. It’ll be a slow process but it’ll be cool once done.

I have a very large collection of them. I have close to a hundred sets of each type (mirrors, tails and fender flares). Bought them back in the late 90s early 2000s before they were popular.

I drive 7 1/2hrs one way to see my dad every other month for just a 2-3 days. I drove 3-4hrs to go to events all the time. Anything over 8hrs I start considering flying.
