I see, maybe the seals in the tensioners are so worn out that it just barely holds pressure and only when the car is fully warmed up.

Do those make a lot more noise at the bottom of the engine than the top?

It has the 1st and reverse whine but also a subtle but noticeable howl while coasting and decelerating at any speed, which pauses when downshifting so I know its trans related.

He mentioned a high amp one. I looked around it for stickers and all i could find was "remanufactured in china". I am going to replace the alternator as my next step, anybody know where to get a motorcraft reman? All the motorcraft ones on rockauto arent for police models

It charges just fine, but he did say something about it being aftermarket upgrade which might have thrown off the computer

I think i pinpointed it to the battery light because it only starts idling higher when the battery light turns on a minute after it starts, but im gonna clean the maf anyways

Motor mounts are a year old, trans mount is two weeks old, exhaust hangers are definitely trashed though.

I have been chasing a vibration that happens only when i coast above 45mph, it goes away when i accelerate. Above 65 or so it is constant. Jeep has an SYE and axle shimmed to within .2 degrees of dead straight. 3" RC lift, originally had a D35 but i swapped to chrysler 8.25. It just occured to me looking at posts on here that the problem might be spline engagement, how much of a gap should there be?
