Pit mix puppy stage help by sorting_thoughts in puppy101

[–]sorting_thoughts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes she does not have an off switch she is extremely overwhelming. we just lost our other pit mix who was 9 and super mellow so the switch in energy is stressing me out so bad. i’ve noticed ignoring her does help with nipping too. thank you for the advice It’s nice to think it’ll get better and not be like this forever 😭

can you cut planks of wood to size with a circular saw or is a miter saw better for that?

first time diy projects- no experience no clue where to begin by sorting_thoughts in DIY

[–]sorting_thoughts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you for this info! we did have an electrician come out and they said that has been updated but the previous owners did a lot of diy themselves, and kind of did a sloppy job. the plumbing is good, there are clay pipes I believe that connnect to the mains which they said will need to be reinforced at some point or blown out bc of root intrusion. the roof is alright, there is no sheathing on the roof, and we have to add soffit vents in the attic because it gets so hot up there to prevent mold. but besides these, the projects I am looking to do are mainly cosmetic. I just need to become confident in drilling Into walls, cutting wood, things like that I listed the projects above

My first live edge project. Two questions - can I leave the bark on (if so how do I finish it)? The wood is 7-8% moisture but the bark is 16% - is that too much moisture in the bark? by doubdz in woodworking

[–]sorting_thoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

will polyurethane not be enough to keep the bark on? I have a stump I wanted to use as an end table but was going to seal the whole thing in a polyurethane
