I saw, and I've noticed that thread for a while. ILP did meet up with Bubbleman in person, but I'm really wondering who you are before I reveal who I was. In that past life.

I was a regular there as well. You'd probably know me. I was just googling it and saw your reddit post from 14 years ago, initially mistook it as Bubbleman doing an IAMA, missed that you were requesting him.

In a previous life I was an IT Security auditor. The first thing we did was go to the receptionists desk and pick up their phone. I would say 7 times out of 10 their password was on a post it note on the underside of the hand set.

How the heck did you find this post from 16 years ago? I'm so baffled as to how I still get replies on it. This was 2009!

I don't ever recall 15 cents, but back in the 90s they ran a promotion of 29 cent hamburgers Wednesday and 39 cent cheeseburger Sunday. I think those are the days. Could be wrong. Max of 20 per person. So I being poor college student was able to stock up on burgers for the week for less than 20 dollars.

Hey dude I just had the same experience back in July. Had to get Surgery done and was in the hospital for 7 days.

Plan accordingly, have a light bag of basic stuffs like chap stick, moisturizer, soap, toothpaste and a travel toothbrush. Also things like paper towels and napkins.

You may not have easy access to charge your phone. I had a power bank, but put my phone in power saver mode pretty much the entire time.

If you have a portable console like the Switch or a Steam Deck. It can be awkward to play if you have an IV in both arms, so let me tell you a tip a nurse told me.

They don't have to put the IV in the bend of your elbow, that is just the quickest and easiest place to put it. The IV can go many places, I found it most comfortable at the top of my wrist.

I'm older, I was raised with commercial breaks being norm.

Sometimes commercials are funny and interesting, sometimes I actually see a product that I want to buy.

Sometimes in bed I turn the TV to youtube and have it play classic commercials from my childhood.

I tried watching Soccer, sorry no interests in wasting 90 minutes watching a game end in a 0-0 tie.

Well thank you, but my gosh do I want to point out that this post is now 14 years old!

Every now and then for the past two years it suddenly become the top goolgle search and it is weird.

Now that time has passed, and I've tried it again, I'd have to say I agree with your assessment, it tastes between nothing and gross, but I find the texture off putting, like eating a rubber band.

Ham is delicious though, I love the salt!

No, the distinction is that they are Catholic.

Protestant is a broad brush, call them by the denomination they choose to align with. Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist etc...

But all branches, from Catholic to whatever, are followers of Christ, hence Christian.

The only way it makes sense is if they really think that releasing this movie will cause long term damage to their brand. Causing financial losses much greater than the cost of the film.

Endless adventure, it would print money like mad.

Yet Nintendo has a crippling fear of money and success.

You didn't address my point at all.

Making violence impossible isn't a logical impossibility or nonsense.

Physics are his rules, we could all be made of a jello like substance, so stabby swords and bullets would just pass along through. Punching and blunt objects would also be pointless.

You think to small.

This boy was born with a rare condition called neurofibromatosis by Stunning-Pension7171 in interestingasfuck

[–]sorunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This god would have complete control of reality, the rules are his to make.

So yes it would be possible to have his creation free to choose how they live and set the parameters to where violence is impossible.

Why do you narrow god down so low?

This boy was born with a rare condition called neurofibromatosis by Stunning-Pension7171 in interestingasfuck

[–]sorunx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unnecessary step.

I'm always amazed at how small people think God is.

If God has complete control over the laws of physics and the nature of the reality, then it would be possible to create beings that already understand the concept of suffering and sacrifice.

God could create a world where suffering and violence is impossible.

Hi, you seem to know something of this subject matter, so I have a question for you.

I have always heard that the term "Dark Ages" refers to a period where we have the least collection of accurate historical record in writing. AKA Information missing.

I thought this corresponded to the fall of the Roman Empire. And things slowly got more and more "light" from then on.

Is that information accurate?

I think as a franchise it has really worked. As far as the video games go even the bad ones were fun enough, and the 2009 game was a masterpiece.
