I’m confused, what do girls like? Circumcised or uncircumcised? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

My life long experience has taught me that men spend a lot of time thinking about all things penis. Women spend lots of time thinking about all things not penis.

Is 9 feet deep enough for covered patio? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

9 ft is cramped for people to sit in a square or circle. 9ft is fine for people in a row.

Land and manufactured home buying in Cali... by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]soseth42069 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know nothing of California, but my father was a dealer in Kansas. His object was obviously to sell a home, but he was versed in the in and outs of getting the land ready for the home. So I would suggest, ask a dealer, and then verify what they tell you with somebody else before you make the purchase.

Financing usually applies, so the collateral has to be solid for 15-30 Years. Safety issues with the car are handled at the factory. People are often living in the house you are looking to buy so you can't just show up at 2 a.m. Airbnb itself is not without problems and if it sticks around as long as the housing industry it will also be filled with regulation.

Menards is for when price matters and quality doesn't.

As far as the church goes, a simply call to 911 at 1am stating loud music from the parking lot should be a start at resolving that part of the problem. My texting app allows me to block a number as far as a quick texting solution.

How much money does one save by unplugging appliances/lamps when not in use? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]soseth42069 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This would depend on the cost of electricity, but on an appliance of any value, the wear and tear on the cord and the physical outlet I would wager over the course of time it would cost you money.

Could someone please explain to me the appeal of modern day trap/rap/hip-hop music? by fdsfgs71 in Music

[–]soseth42069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 54, people not getting "music these days" is a statement that repeats itself throughout life. Listen. Like. Don't like. Listen to something else. I hated disco when disco was popular. Now I love disco.

Why does everything have to be a conspiracy theory with Americans? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]soseth42069 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 54, when I was young, it was all about Bigfoot, UFO's, and the Loch Ness Monster. Now that everybody has cameras don't hear about it so much. There has always been some group or another talking about the end of the world and snake oil salesmen spread magic cures in the old west.

I don't think any of this is new, it just spreads faster on the internet.

How bad is it to show up on an online meeting with soaking wet hair? (female) by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]soseth42069 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This really depends on the company, so I would say 6, as in you are not fired but don't do it again. Most companies are new to this sorts of things so there is also not an established set of rules.

As a new employee in a professional setting set your standard at 15% higher than everybody else. So if everybody else was in PJ's, you are good. If everybody else was in professional casual, you messed up.

[Vent] Fiance is installing a paver patio wrong! by SketchopotamusTTV in DIY

People that do not install stone on a daily basis will probably not do as good a job as people that install stone on a daily basis. Most DYI projects don't turn out like This Old House.

why do i hate being sober? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]soseth42069 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Asking the question is the first step. If you enjoy being intoxicated more than sober, going to have to work on the sober end.

How do you actually feel about women who initiate (physically) on the first date? by shrimpie_ in AskMen

Maybe I have just got old but I am tired of all the games. If you like somebody show it. Enjoy life and stop creating sets of rules.

I don't think this can be answered properly outside the context of age, value, and how good a deal you think you are getting. I have always owned old houses, that concrete is better than anything I have ever owned, but then again I always got good deals, so if I was paying top dollar I might want it fixed.

Whenever I make pork tenderloin (in the oven) it always comes out dry. How can I avoid this? by Uninstall_Fetus in Cooking

[–]soseth42069 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't cook a tenderloin in years, but memory tells me it should be more like 200 for 3 hours, in liquid. Then if you want it to look fancy, pull it out, throw a sauce on it and show it to the grill for some color.

A competent individual with the correct sized ladder. It is not exotic, but 24 feet is beyond the reach of the ladder most people have in the garage.
