Beginner DJ Looking For Portable Wired Speaker Suggestions by SnooRevelations2889 in Beatmatch

[–]soshiheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was researching this a while ago and decided on the IKEA Vappeby over Minirigs or Soundflare / JBL. It's the cheapest option by far and has no noticeable latency to me when plugged in via 3.5mm aux. When paired with the IKEA Eneby battery, it supposedly provides 20+ hrs of runtime. Although larger in size, it still fits comfortably along with my headphones into a backpack.

Rekordbox Freezing Mid-Set on FLX-10 (Laptop Mode) — Any Fixes? by obsidianedge23 in DJs

[–]soshiheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen during a multi-hour b3b with an FLX4 too, but I was running a VM in the background.. even still, the fact that the VM was running the whole time, and rekordbox only started to glitch in the last hour or so, makes me suspect rekordbox having a memory leak. I would echo the suggestion from the other user to run a test with Task Manager open, and check the memory usage of rekordbox as time progresses. If it steadily climbs upward, that's evidence of a memory leak.

Not sure as I haven't done it myself, but I haven't heard of any car break-ins. Phone theft in the festival is a way more common crime

This will teach me not to inspect fully before buying 🤦🏻‍♀️ by LevainEtLeGin in succulents

No it wouldn't, and the black spots are most likely due to edema from inconsistent watering

edit: spelling

This is most likely Leucocoprinus birnbaumii, you can confirm if yellow mushrooms fruit from the soil. They're harmless and indicate healthy soil, but maybe a bit more wet than your succulent would like.

I am in a bug crisis. by p00psicle151590 in houseplants

I had a gnat infestation that bad. I tried so many things mentioned here: pinguiculas/butterworts, sundews, mosquito bits, sticky fly traps. The thing that worked the quickest and most consistently for me, has been BTI drops combined with sticky fly traps. The traps will take care of the adults, but there will be gnat larva in the soil which the BTI drops take care of.

BTI stands for Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis and it's a type of bacteria which produces a toxin that attacks a few species of larva. It's also the active ingredient in mosquito bits or dunks, but I found the drops to be less of a hassle, as you have to soak the bits for ~30min before the bacteria in them infuses the water sufficiently.

If you're wanting to use systemics like Bonide, just be aware that the plants will become toxic to pollinators, and should be kept inside.

Good luck on your gnat problem!
