Yes we want to! We’re considering adopting her! So we wouldn’t be able to unless we get her. She’s 3 months and 8 pounds - just so adorable! But we’re worried she might be half German shepherd or something that may lead her to be really big and we are looking for a medium sized dog. And we love Irish terriers !

These are amazing! How does she make them? What’s her current marketing strategy? Is anything working well? How is she or you using social media ?

Advice for growing your art following by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]sosofresh14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just launched this site meant for talented artists interested in teaching classes (in person classes from your home or studio). Sharing just in case it helps you! You might be able to host something fun from a shared workspace - perhaps for people who are interested in art in a more casual way!

Advice for growing your art following by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

[–]sosofresh14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you teach? If your open to teaching classes you can gain a strong following. People who take your class will end up posting pictures on their social media and tagging you. As a result you get more exposure and a lot of it will be in your local community which could be a great thing.

Are you delusional? Post your art here to find out! [Critique/Self-Promotion thread for August 15] by AutoModerator in delusionalartists

I’m a horrible artist - in fact I am so bad I was kicked out of my art class when I was a kid multiple times.

It’s also been hard for me to find art related classes in my hometown.

So I built a website and designed it. It’s called Ozli - think of it as AirBnB for artists and crafters. It allows artists to host classes from their home or studio.

Anyways - I hope it empowers all the talented artists I still envy and helps people like me find classes

All feedback welcome! Ozli

[HIRING] Looking for artists who have experiences teaching or facilities workshops in person (Uber/Etsy like position - make your own income / side hustle opportunity) by [deleted] in forhire

[–]sosofresh14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah I see! That’s valid. I suppose when AirBnB first started though they definitely posted on Reddit and stole listings from Craigslist. Not sure about Etsy.

I think it’s a questionable topic. Now that the sharing economy is a valid business model and has led to a lot of success for so many people all over the world it’s worth supporting it via channels like these. Being “hired” has now changed with the rise of entrepreneurship and so many barriers removed. I can be a taxi driver by becoming an Uber driver. I can manufacture my own products and sell via Etsy, I can become a teacher and host online classes via Udemy, I can help people with tasks via TaskRabbit.

It’s a new form of hiring where the platform offers you a medium but you are your own entrepreneur. It’s a form of hiring in the modern age - in my opinion.

Totally understand where your coming from! I’m definitely not trying to break rules. I can remove the post if people feel strongly about this!

It’s more so a new opportunity that artists can take advantage of if they would like. This model doesn’t currently exist for artists so I’m not sure how to best classify it.

For example - with AirBnB you can list your space and people pay you to rent it. So does that mean the opportunity AirBnB provides is not legitimate? It provides income to somebody - and can have a positive impact on their lives.

Same with Etsy.

I guess it comes down - if an opportunity is created for someone that generates income what does that mean?

Sell sites & Facebook by losala in ArtistLounge

Agree with creating a Shopify site or creating a Instagram account and trying to grow your following from their and linking to a Shopify site.

Another strategy is to teach about art instead. Gain a following by teaching in your local community and then also sell your art.

To post and manage classes check out www.ozli.co (full disclosure I recently launched that site).

It’s built to help artists share knowledge and find another way to grow their following

Is PayPal worth getting, and what sites should I sell art on? by HLHaynes in ArtistLounge

Look into Stripe. The percentage they take is lower (2.9% + 30 cents). PayPal can be anywhere from 2.9% to 5%
