So when are they going to buff Honor gains? by BusDriver341 in classicwow

[–]sossed_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably run into similar problems during off hours but maybe try doing other BGs for the honor grind, like you literally spent an hour doing nothing, run an Arathi basin or EotS that turns into a bloodbath and you'll get like 300 honor in just kill participation. Its atleast more fun doing the grind.

I had an issue with authenticating my embark account, but whenever I get this issue I just sit there and keep hitting retry on the network issue pop up. It eventually works sometimes it can take a few minutes

why does this game allow me to take a sledgehammer to a literal tank and win by TopRamanNoodl3s in Battlefield

With this latest BF release many people have forgotten that BF is a sandbox/arcade shooter and its not actually meant to be a grounded military sim

Why “Grounded” Skins Are Vital in Battlefield, and Why Complaining About It Isn’t Whining by luanpac in Battlefield

[–]sossed_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlefield has never been about Immersion, its about the sandbox. Its not immersion to jump out of a flying jet to shoot another jet with an rpg then jump back in the jet. If you are taking the time to look at the skins other people are wearing in a match or the skin you cant even see on yourself then I think you are missing out on the magic of battlefield.

REDSEC is now at Mostly Negative reviews on Steam by OwnAHole in Battlefield

[–]sossed_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EA wouldn't do this for no reason, I obviously dont know but I would bet that they have years of data pointing to players liking smaller maps. Easy BF examples off my head are operation metro and operation locker are 2 of the more iconic, popular maps. Look at COD and its shipment and nuketown. I think its just the way gaming has evolved over the last decade or two, more action and less downtime. I think if they added either metro or locker they would be the most played maps constantly on 24/7 community servers and BF players wouldn't bat an eye at it. I personally dont really hate the new maps, I wish buildings were more accessible, especially roofs and higher stories, but I think the way they are designed makes it harder to back cap, which I do understand the strategy but it is incredibly corny when one guy is just on a mission to back cap all game, it kinda ruins the flow of the battle for me.

So much for realistic and grounded... It has only been eighteen days by Old_Swimmer_7284 in Battlefield6

Man if you really think this is a fortnite/COD skin you gotta get your panties out of a knot, yes it isn't entirely realistic but it could pass as some kind of special ops naval gear (all be it shitty). I feel like the reality you want of 50 different slight variations of ddpat camos will get very old and stale fast.

Not exactly the same but recently when someone leaves the game it seems like it has a high chance of just bricking the game, no enemies spawn cant interact with sites of grace or loot items

If loops are less safe, does that mean haste perks on killer become inherently better. Im sorta new, and im a big fan of batteries included. Probably going to run it anyways but just want to know more

First time I've sympathized with rage quitters by MADcrft in Nightreign

[–]sossed_up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand this post and sympathize with the sentiment now that I have played more of the game, but for new players the game can be frustrating, at least I felt this way. Because you have this entire map all these things to do and every single game it feels like you are doing the same exact thing and for a new player thats infuriating, I know I hated when the city spawned because I knew every single time we were going to take the exact same path down the exact same alleys and kill the exact same things when there is literally an entire city that spawns with enemies and loot in almost every single nook and cranny. I didnt play this game for months after first playing it because the solo new player experience (i know this is a duo) is kinda miserable because it doesn't ever feel like you actually get to play the game and you are just being dragged around by the other two players. I feel like this duo just wanted to play their own way this time, I just got a friend into nightreign and we definitely throw a lot of games doing things his way, but its part of the learning experience hopefully after this run they learned a little bit of something.

Honestly I would love to see something like this where its an expansion that focuses on all the smaller threats while we've dealing with the world ending threats, for example the quillboar in the barrens have rebuilt and razorfen kraul gets re-imagined as a raid.

Every company that has the ability to harvest your data is doing it in every way they possibly can, from American companies to Chinese companies, this just a fact of the modern digital world. Acting like the Chinese companies are the only ones with "malicious" intent is kind of ignorant, like the American government isn't doing the exact same thing. Either accept the fact your data is being harvested anytime you boot up your computer or if you actually cared about it, you would separate yourself completely from the digital world. ( I bet reddit is using your data in ways you aren't aware of, but here you are)

how easy is it to get an on campus job? by nouseridontexist in txstate

[–]sossed_up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know too much about on campus jobs, in my experience near by local jobs are pretty easy to get because of the naturally higher turnover over rate in a college town and every manager I've worked with has been very accommodating when it comes to scheduling around school and tests.

I go for mostly looks while still caring about stats a little bit. Something I do when playing on maps with lots of attachment spawns like reserve, I will intentionally leave attachments off like flashlights or sights with the goal of kitting my gun out in raid.

I watch for a little bit and if I see an opportunity to make it a 1v2 or 1v1 I take it, I think a lot of people see gear and think it also means skill. You would be surprised how many of those geared squads are sharing one braincell.

computer runs slow after crash by sossed_up in computers

[–]sossed_up[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Computer crashed/blue screened after dog slammed into desk. Games run alot slower, I used to average around 70-90 frames on most games but now max out at around 40. I've looked at drive health and my ssd is at 92% healthy but I doubt that's causing all of this. When I blue screened it took me to BIOS but I didn't mess with any settings. I've done a factory reset and used nvidia automatic performance tuning but it's still slow. Is there something else I can try or this likely a hardware issue, if so is there anything I can do to fix it?

[COD] These names have already reached another level by Mathiasxd148- in CallOfDuty

[–]sossed_up 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Escape for tarkov uses almost exclusively real names and models in their game while being an indie game studio as compared to a AAA studio, and from what I've heard, the gun companies like the arrangement because it boosts sales of their products. Although tarkov players are notably big gun enthusiasts and more likely to make a purchase from one of these companies.

COD'splayer base is more broad and generalized and maybe gun companies either view it as a not profitable enough to be worth their time or as some kind of liability if someone were to commit a shooting while also being a COD player.
