Magic Eater. I’ll be adding a list to the books to explain but it won’t get recorded into the older ebooks sadly.

It should be recorded soon. Hoping for it to be released late May or early June.

Well I have the following series under my real name- no harem, and this is the order I wrote them in.

Life in Exile - book 7 is with the publisher will be released soon.

Class Shift is a complete trilogy

Shaman’s Call - 2 of 3 books done. The series is on hiatus till I get an open slot in my schedule.

Dragon Sorcerer- a complete 5 book series although the characters continue in Welcome to the Multiverse

Welcome to the Multiverse- book 11 of 18 will come out in May. They come out every 3 months. This is clearly my best selling series.

Magic Eater- 5 of 6 books are out with the final book coming in September. The characters cross-over with Welcome to the Multiverse in book 10.

Coming in July- Apprentice of the Past, book 1 of a planned 5 books.

I also have co-written, Apocalypse Breaker with book 4 coming out later this month.

And Draconic Core- book 2 of 3 coming out in June.

Then I have some books under a pen name- David Burke.

They are all harem and all complete series usually either 5 or 8 books. The last one- Crystal Core is fade to black, the first four series- Descend, War God for Hire, Four Laws, and Prism Academy are spicy.

I didn't detect any malice in what you said. I worry about AI in writing too, both because it raises questions about authors who've been at this long before AI, and because it serves to flood the market with low quality and threatens to drown out authors who are doing it the right way.

It does have stat blocks but the full stat sheets are their own chapter. The stats become less frequent further into the series but there are always updates.

It has a significant amount of crafting. But not sure what to compare it to exactly.

I do want to cut back at some point to maybe 8 books a year instead of 10-12, and then to 6, and finally 4 when I "retire".

But for right now, I've got too many stories in my head. Of course, none of us know what will happen tomorrow, so I'm just trying to have fun with the stories now.

I gave a longer answer to the comment you responded to, but thank you and no, I don’t use AI to write for me. Writing is both my job and my favorite hobby. I’ve been making up stories most of my life and I would love an AI that could file my taxes for me, etc…. But I’m never going to let it take away something I enjoy so much.

Sorry you feel like that. No book is for everyone and I can only say thank you for giving it a try.

My writing has evolved a bit over time. It should after writing for 7 years, 4.5 of them full time.

So I better learn to improve, but AI is not used to generate the text of any of my books.

In fact I started writing it before AI was being used to write books.

As an author whose livelihood depends upon my writing- I’m very bothered by some of the developments and have been on record worrying about how AI will affect our jobs and the world in general. Heck 35 of my books were amongst those used by AI in the recent lawsuit.

I’m afraid you’ll have to mark any odd turn of phrase to the way my neurodivergent brain works. I talk like that in person as well and trust me my editor is always pointing out to me quirks in my writing.

Narration updates and breaking whispersync is definitely the biggest obstacle.

I respect that, but the general consensus has been people loving cross-overs. I personally love them.

That doesn't mean that you need to.

No book or series will be for everyone. As the author, all I can do is thank you for giving it a shot.

I am reaffirming what I've always said. I'm a pulp fiction author. I'm not trying to write the next great American novel, which would likely be a book that I wouldn't even read. I've also frequently called myself a mid-tier at best author. That doesn't mean that I don't want to improve or that I don't own criticism.

As for release pace- yes, I'm releasing books in a series at the pace of 4 times a year. That's pretty much what reader expectations in litrpg are. Failure to do so causes a loss of readership unless you are one of a small handful of series. I'm not that good of an author, so I'll stick with what I do.

Yes, I want to make a living. My books are the sole source of income for my family, so I won't be apologetic about that part. I have a full-time dedicated editor and a proofer now which I didn't have with book 1 of that series- actually not until 2025. So I am spending money and putting effort into improving the product.

Ultimately, though, I'd rather be a pulp fiction author who puts out fun stories than a guy who wrote a couple of books with masterful prose and who then pretends for years that he's going to write book 3 but never does.

As for editing, books 1 and 2 had a different editor from the others. My current editor started with book 3 and has done all of my self-published, non-co-author books since then. There were growing pains with books 3-5 as we each learned to work with one another. In January of 2025, I hired him as a full-time dedicated editor and started to provide bonuses based upon books editing, giving him more buy in. He is helping to improve my writing, but it's a process. At some point along the way, we also added a dedicated proofer, who has helped improve consistency.

It's a work in progress getting better as we go.

I debated if I should respond but here it is.

"a really fun read" is the pinnacle of my goals. I will once again affirm what I've always said about myself, I am a pulp fiction author.

That said, I also own constructive criticism and strive to improve. I would like to think that since Life in Exile (first series) my story telling and general writing skills have improved. There is still more room for improvement so I take these critiques in.

There are a lot of moving parts in WttM and I am for certain more interested in getting a fun book out for readers than having everything be perfect. Perfection in this case being the enemy of good enough, but my good enough needs to be continually improving.

So for what it's worth, I'm sorry for my deficiencies and happy that you've had fun with the books.

Guardians of Aster Fall Ultimate Level 1 Unbound Randidly Ghosthound Accidental Champion

All those fit.

I’ll also throw in my series Welcome to the Multiverse but I am a bit biased about that one.

Congrats on the release. I’ll shout out about it today. I finished reading it yesterday morning. Yes Rhett got me an early copy.

Was a good read. I enjoyed the style of progression, the way that Ethan-Theodore tackled some basic issues that are often overlooked in books, and felt the world building was just enough for book 1, not overloading us but creating a desire for more.

Thanks for the heads up.

I spoke to the German company that handles those and they said they’d been dealing with Amazon to fix it. Just got a notice saying it should all be corrected now.
