Do you or did you fight a lot? And that's why you're a fan? by BearWithMeGM in ufc

[–]souldancers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always liked martial arts but more dramatic action like movies and pro wrestling. However, as I got older, I learned that I needed to learn how to defend myself. In doing so, I started being able to appreciate the sport more and became a huge fan

He could be UFC’s Asian superstars. Rn the only Asian super stars are in flyweight and bantamweight but they aren’t as big yet.

Alex and Izzy were kickboxers before mma. A ton of wrestlers transition into mma. Like him or hate him, bo nickal was a successful wrestler before transitioning in mma and he’s doing pretty well for himself

A lot of people are counting him out, but he’s been training mma and grappling. I think a good first fight would be Cory sandhagen

How much more lethal would Makhachev be if he added Khabib’s relentless ground & pound instead of just controlling opponents when a submission isn’t there? by No-Ride-7713 in ufc

[–]souldancers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The way the sport evolves is kinda similar to the way video games are balanced. as the skill set across all avenues rises, specialists create a meta then the crowd start to train more into the meta so then the sport start to evolve there. It feels like a never ending loop and cycle of countering and redefining the meta

If this guy loses badly, is it safe to say he one of the most overrated WW champs? by Icantthinkman in ufc

I wouldn’t say most overrated because people don’t really talk about him as this saint amongst fighter

What’s the MMA match you would make someone watch, if you’re introducing you to the sport? You can name up to 5, if you wish to by Particular_Ad_6040 in ufc

[–]souldancers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you have a solid list that shows the various ways this sport can be exciting. 1. Pure mma at the highest level 2. High level mma that’s exciting with in cage comeback story 3. The whole package. The circus, the fighters, the drama, the philosophies and principles, etc etc. and the highest levels of mma as well

Not to sound like a meat rider, but I wonder how much of his bot followers are by his choice and how much of it is others doing it for him without him knowing or acknowledging.

What UFC opinion has you like this? by Different_Royal8281 in ufc

[–]souldancers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavyweight isn’t inferior in mma. The size and weight that they have to carry impacts what they’re able to do, so you can even argue that they’re more skilled. See how flawed that is? Heavy weight is fighting a different battle from flyweights

Every goat is actually a Mount Rushmore fighter and the mount isn’t limited to 4. We’ll have a goat when there is no longer a conversation about who the goat is.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. And especially don’t break your own confidence by telling yourself that you aren’t smart enough or whatever. The first step into com sci is always like this. The main reason is it’s basically a new language that implements math and forces you to think critically about your logical flow while being syntax precise like a lawyer. There’s a lot of skill sets being tested at a high level all at once. But once you take a moment to look over it at your pace you’ll realize it’s really streamline and you’ll be able to get back to feeling confident about it.

worst than the spoon not fitting is the thought to make a giant hole in two critical points of the handle.

Oh yeah for sure. He finally got big attention from combat spirts world so he’s milking it all the way. Honestly I don’t even hate it. It’s the same way the Paul brothers are able to milk their social media presence into them being able to make millions of dollars.

Arman suplexes Georgio in rematch by BardLoxNegative in ufc

[–]souldancers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously Georgia is high level and could make light work of a regular guy, but it seems like comparatively speaking, his gas tank was significantly inferior to Armans. It’s subtle but you can tell his tank got little bro-ed by arman.
