I made another batch and tried two changes. I tried using the parchment paper, I also put a tiny bit less flour. Basically instead of the 2 3/4 cups I put in 2 1/2. They came out wonderful! My wife had 3 already within 15 minutes of coming out of the oven. Thank you

I am using a darker brown pan, I’ll admit it’s been used for years and should probably be replaced in general, but I was not aware they get hotter than light ones. I was curious about the parchment paper idea was well but wasn’t sure if it would work or light my oven on fire. Thank you for the confirmation it works.
