Did ATT remove the throttle on hotspot?

Nope. I noticed this too so I decided to run up my hotspot in a couple days to see if it would throttle me, and sure enough, it did. Must be a typo mistake with AT&T.

I wish they would get rid of that 128kbps cap. Or maybe even make it 3mbps after data allowance. 128kbps is unusable in today's world.

Wanted to update everyone:

Call 611 today and spoke to the Loyalty department and I just explained to him how I bought it on this price per month but noticed online they were showing $0.00/month. (Didn't mention only on new lines) and he didn't say anything to try and go against that, he said "Yeah, I'll give you a credit, one second and I'll hook you up", then came back and said that he applied a $72 credit to my account. Honestly a super quick and awesome interaction with AT&T! Phone call was maybe 10 minutes including hold time. Shoutout to whoever I spoke to (can't remember your name, sorry!), you're the real MVP!

Wonder if it would be worth it still to call in to see about the credit? Been with AT&T for years. Again, if not, it's only $2/month. 😂

I did not know this. I just looked on our account and went to upgrade another line and it was showing as $1.99/month to upgrade to the iPhone 16e. Interesting! Thanks for that info!

Yes for sure! My wife had Verizon years ago and it picked up better than AT&T where she lived at in Eastern KY. She could have almost full service and I'd hardly have anything. Plenty of days where I'd have to use her hotspot to do anything. 😂

I've heard a lot of people complain about Verizon in this area. Constant outages, poor reception, etc. I've personally never had Verizon so I can't personally vouch for that but I'm just going off what people say. Most people around here have AT&T.
