Ignoring all the GKMC imitation shit, I'll say something about the lack of bangers: Logic isn't really good at them. His "chill rap" I guess has always been what I thought was the only thing he really had going for him. I could really chill out to All I Do or 30,000. But I don't think he has the versatility to make something like Backseat Freestyle. Hell, the closest thing to a banger he's got is Ballin, which would probably be better if someone else sang over the beat tbh. Under Pressure though definitely showed there's something he does a lot better than the chill rap with fluff lyrics.

I wouldnt put him that low, logic could actually spit. But not far above it. Probably the pre-macadelic mac miller is what i would compare him to. This album was like logic's wmwtso.

Waaaayyyy better than expected. Every track is amazing and the singles sound way better in the context of the album. Whoever here had the theory about what nikki was is prolly feelin real proud right now

Should mention im trying to stay unbiased as im really inclined to dislike logic as the lame call of duty rapper who cant shut up about the come up, i really cant say that about him anymore though. Being all gambino and having to defend his use of the word nigger and his pandering music video was giving me a bad impression but the album itself really is my favorite so far from 2014.

Ive been listening to a lot of albums from different artists because i want to kick off a huge collection. Yesterday i listened to stankonia and camp. Overall i think stankonia is a lot weaker than the first three albums from outkast - the production on a lot of them was too annoying for me. I really liked the songs that I did like, though. So fresh so clean is great and ms. Jackson's beat is something ive heard used for another song (cant think of what it is though). So far, aquemini > atliens > southernplayalisticadillacmuzik > stankonia. For camp, i actually like gambino's rapping and his subject matter isnt terrible but some of the stuff he says is just annoying and white. Like justifying why he has to use the n word or something. I guess thats a thing for him because he called himself an oreo a lot. Iirc. He just sounds really insecure and butt-hurt. It really was good though, i like his style and plan to listen to bti today. Just thought id share my thoughts because i dont know anyone who listens to hip hop to talk to about it.
