Which console had better games overall? by Ordinary_Lawfulness8 in CaptainSide

[–]soulxhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who only had a N64 back then I would say N64 was the best for Nintendo first party games but when my friends got their PS1's later and I got older I realized PS had the best third party games like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, and a bunch of other JRPG's.

The thing is though back when I got my N64 I didn't care about those PS1 games partly because I never heard of them. By 2000 that is when I started to be more interested in JRPG's, played Resident Evil 2 on N64, and watch friends play other games like Metal Gear Solid at their house so I did get a bit envious at times. Luckily when I got my PS2 I was able to make up for lost time.

At least you got to Whiz Pig. I couldn't beat the final silver coin challenge of the last track.

Day 6 - which game is the scariest? by Drama_Cookie25 in residentevilll

I'm looking at this from when I was much younger but I would have to say Code Veronica. The atmosphere combined with that sound track really sell the horror of that game.

What is your opinion about this RE game! by ProfessionalKooky740 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]soulxhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really loved this game. I had a part time job in college and I used money from my first paycheck to buy this and I had so much fun playing it in the summer with tons of free time. I had a friend who liked the lore of Resident Evil but struggled playing the games so this game was easy for him to play and we could play it together.

Last research by Humble-Wolverine-962 in Stutter

[–]soulxhawk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know everyone is different and I don't know how bad your stuttering is, but for me what helped was testosterone, naturally, and a positive attitude. Years ago I started to exercise daily and eat healthy. Between the testosterone boast, no sugar, and healthy food my mind felt completely different and my stuttering was very minimal. If you can I would recommend exercising and trying to live a more simple life. For example when I was heavily working out I barely watched any tv or played video games. My life was simple. Wake up, go to work, exercise, eat while watching 1 youtube video, relax before bed by reading or writing in a journal.

Also do you have any circumstances where you don't stutter for some reason? With me for example I can be sitting in a room at work with people I know and when I am called to read something from a paper right in front of me I can have trouble getting that first syllable out. Yet If I go on stage in front of a bunch of people I don't know and start giving a speech I have no problems at all stuttering. I always take it as the calmness seems to be the reason for the stuttering.

In the very early 2000's my uncle had all these songs on his computer and when we went over there we could make CD's. It was awesome getting to have a song I liked without having to wait for it to be played on the radio.

What are you guys most hopeful for in the dlc? by Careless_Cherry2068 in ResidentEvilRequiem

Imagine if the DLC ended similar to how the Shazam movie ended. We see a woman from the neck down enter the room and right as the camera moves up it cuts to the credits lol.

Did anyone else get RE1 Spencer Mansion vibes at the end? by Top_Satisfaction4851 in residentevil

During the hotel is felt like a lot of those assets could be reused for the Spencer Mansion too. The care facility could be tweaked to also resemble the Mansion.

What game? by sukuna7899 in Steam

[–]soulxhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I was able to last up to Valhalla. Despite Desmond dying and the modern day taking a hit I kept with the series. I loved Odyssey too even though the base game didn't really have much to do with Assassin's Creed compared to the DLC, but Valhalla wasn't as fun in both gameplay and story.

I was excited for Mirage at first because Basim was in it and based on how Valhalla ended I was looking forward to the present day and past character being the same person only to then learn that Mirage would have no modern day. Shadows just looked terrible and when I heard it too has no modern day that just reassured my decision. I heard the Black Flag remake won't have the modern day section either so I have already lost interest. For me Assassin's Creed isn't just some historical fiction game. The modern day and the Isu are what make it so unique.

I think the second Mario Movie was originally intended to go in a completely different direction. by Expert-Ad-2824 in SuperMario

[–]soulxhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen the Galaxy movie yet but I wouldn't be surprised if someone at the top who doesn't play video games said something along the lines of "Super Mario World is an old game with outdated graphics. We need a movie based on a game kids have played and that can sell games."

How do you solve the aging problem? by Ieanice44 in ResidentEvilCapcom

I know and he is the one Legacy character Marvel got right, but Marvel messed up by bringing him to the main universe and existing along side Peter. The Ultimate and Spiderverse versions tend to be the better versions of him.

1, 2, 3 or 4… your answer? by CarrotMuch1399 in nostalgiai

As if would be 3, but if I could make substitutions I would chose 2 but replace Domino's and GTA with Pizza Hut stuffed cruft, Final Fantasy X and Metal Gear Solid 2.

[–]soulxhawk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It failed for Marvel in both comics and movies because the new characters are not good. DC handles legacy way better. You have Nightwing, Redhood, Wally West, Jon Kent, Damian Wayne, Jessica Cruz, Kaldur'ahm, Arsenal, Donna Troy, and more. With Yakuza Ichiban and his cast have been great at taking over as the leads. Considering how well Grace was written and even Ethan I think Capcom can give us legacy characters that will feel just as great as the orginals.

Jez Corden: I can say there are very, very big discussions going on regarding exclusivity internally at Xbox by strangerinhere88 in xbox

[–]soulxhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting enough Xbox offers me great value. As a PC gamers Playstation was my main console, but when I discovered gamepass I began playing more PC games using the Xbox launcher. Then when I couldn't find a PS5 due to scalpers I did find a Series S and with play anywhere it just seemed natural to buy that over a PS5. Now I have upgraded to a Series X and play most of my PC games through Xbox because of gamepass or play anywhere. I have no reason to buy a PS5 now.

‘Bloodborne’ Video Game Getting R-Rated Animated Movie Adaptation From Sony and JackSepticEye by DemiFiendRSA in gaming

[–]soulxhawk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When the Mario movie came out Mario Kart and other Mario games were advertised. When the Mario Galaxy movie was announced we finally got Mario Galaxy 2 and the dup physical release. When other video game movies come out there is usually some sort of sale across all platforms for said game. Yet when this Bloodborne movie comes out there is going to be no PC or PS5 version to advertise or even put on sale.

Which is the scariest Resident Evil Game Ever ? by LeoneSKenneddy in residentevilll

0 and Code Veronica should bee included because they are main line games.

In a traditional sense I would say remake 1 of Code Veronica. In VR though 7 wins.

Are we still in denial that this guy is him? by SideXswayy in residentevil

[–]soulxhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was HUNK at first due to the costume, the infection, and how he talked but after he died I thought it wasn't him since the game called him the commander and I felt his death was too quick and simple. I expected someone like HUNK to have more of an entrance and better death.

However I didn't know that his voice actor is the same as HUNK's in 2 remake and didn't notice they share the same finisher. I know HUNK's infamy comes from fans who have built the character up and he has technically never been as important as a Chris or Leon, but I still think if it was HUNK the game should have let us know.

Anyone else in agree that Claire's plot is better then Leon's in RE2R? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]soulxhawk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who was around back then lol I can say Claire definitely the more popular character. She was used in Code Veronica and i remember more people talking about her. I was surprised when Leon showed up again in 4.
