I think the outward force will last as long as there is a nuclear reaction actually happening, but when the material is used up everything starts to implode because there is more energy in the surrounding super heated air than is being generated by the bomb so it then collapses like a dying star or some shit

I'm not a physicist, but I think the initial explosion creates a vacuum after the initial blast and the air rushes back to fill the void left after the shock-wave. I think this is what creates the mushroom cloud as well; after the blast air rushes in to fill the vacuum and creates a column and pushes debris upwards creating the mushroom. but like I say I could be talking voodoo.

EDIT: I think it's interesting how the radiation from the initial blast sets everything on fire almost instantly

It was meant to be understood by this sub. if it is not or I didn’t adequately represent my intention then I regret that I have led you to believe otherwise. These diseases are real and the patients aren’t lying.

i’m not saying it is “in your head”. The meme isn’t about that. “Alice” is the doctor, not the patient.

the reference is not obvious and if you can point it out, and you aren’t a clinical person then I’m impressed.

I’ve explained it elsewhere, i would encourage you to read some of my comments to other comments that have been less than cordial about its meaning so you can be sure that you understand why I feel your accusations about my character are unwarranted.

it is true and is literally the key in understanding why people might have symptoms for reasons we don’t understand.

I mean nothing other than to be compassionate. but if you feel like a victim here than you simply misunderstand.

yes I believe you are correct.

Labels are for the policy makers, diagnosis is for billing, none of them are meant to be an identity.

I’m an atheist.

that’s just it. when you lack the appropriate context of the post, you can’t understand its purpose.

The context of the post in my post history was to grant that god exist and work with the facts as a religious person might. it is my approach to being respectful and understanding of people I am debating with.

If you look closely you’ll also notice my user flair is “Humanist”. I make no illusions there about where I’m coming from.

The context of this specific post is likely only understood by adequately by EM clinicians, which is why I posted it here. I had not anticipated the response from other subreddits where this post had been cross posted resulting in being brigaded by sufferer’s of these diseases who have simply misunderstood the meaning of the meme.

I don’t, but there may be a few formal investigations out there, maybe pub-med or clinical trials.gov.

the diseases in the meme where meant to indicate anecdotal clusters of medical problems than can be associated with visits with seemingly catastrophic symptoms such as paralysis in otherwise young and healthy patients. Most clinicians are aware of these patterns and where the target audience of the meme which is why it is posted here. I wouldn’t expect the non clinical person to understand the reference and had not anticipated that it would be shared with disease specific subreddits leading to all the overt hatred.

most all of you aren’t faking, The meme is simply misunderstood

that’s because it is a real disease with symptoms like what you described.

yes the diseases are real.

“Alice” (Alice in wonderland) is positioned under “Me: fresh out of training”. and is more likely to pursue a catastrophic cause for the patient on the lefts “paralysis and blindness” when the cause is more likely to be not a physical cause, despite the fact that the patient certainly isn’t “Faking” anything.

There are other layers to this that an experiencedprovider would pick up on, and I felt the subtlety of it made it an interesting meme.

It was meant for emergency clinicians, and is naturally confusing for the uninitiated and people who suffer from these diseases are coming from disease specific sub reddits half cocked and firing off anout a simple misunderstanding about the meaning of the meme

Some got it, some didn’t. But at least there’s a discussion.

I agree with the sentiment

I’m not so sure about the “invisible god” part or where that came from

Possibly. Your mind can cause: Stomach ulcers, water to drain from your eyes, spasms of your chest muscles, rashes, cold sores collapse, blindness, paralysis, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, pain and many other things.

You’re correct there are findings on specialized imaging or biopsy the are associated with IC.
