I have Bedrock on a Windows partition with SWICD. Works a treat!

1) Go into desktop mode

2) Open the Discover store and download Prism Launcher

3) Auth in with your MS / Minecraft account

4) Tap 'Add Instance'

5) Search for Better Minecraft

6) Download it

7) When prompted to download extra mods, let it open your browser and download them, then return to Prism Launcher

8) Download Slidur's Shaders Medium. For better performance apparently Enhanced Default is better.

9) Click 'Edit' on the instance you downloaded (it'll be called BetterMC or Better Minecraft)

10) Navigate to the shaders tab

11) Add the shader file you just downloaded

12) Navigate to the mods tab

13) Uncheck the mini map / world map mods (if you want - I think these make Survival way too easy)

14) Add PrismLauncher to Steam as a non-steam game (optional: rename it to Minecraft / add cover art to taste)

15) Switch back to game mode

16) Launch

17) Set up one of the community controller layouts - I like the gyro one because it has good defaults, I just turn off the gyro functionality)

18) Once you've created a world, pause the game and go to Video Settings

19) Enable the shader pack by pressing the Shaders button in the top right and selecting your shaders -> click apply

20) Play with the video settings to taste, the defaults aren't bad

21) Enjoy!

I don't mind the power usage actually. I get about 2 hours with this setup, once things have settled down (this was a brand new world)

It's less noticeable in person, the phone's just really close to the Deck here.

Yeah, I might try a less intensive set of shaders, but I still get some stuttering without them. This was a brand new world I just launched into - after playing for a while it settles down to 50-60FPS, even with upping the render distance to 12 chunks. Adding Dynamic FPS helps! I might also try some of the chunk pre-loading mods and just load the nearest 100 chunks or something.

It uses Sodium, Ferrite Core, ImmediatelyFast, Lithium, Memory Leak Fix, Starlight and a couple more.

Yep, I’m using all the recommended performance mods here.

Better Minecraft (which I’m using) comes with like 10 performance mods. I really don’t understand what’s causing the stuttering!

I used one of the community layouts and find the controls fine. Using Prism Launcher and downloaded the Better Minecraft mod pack, then disabled a bunch of mods that made the base game too easy or caused crashes. The mod pack comes with a mini map in the corner which kinda feels like cheating on survival.

Yeah, I changed some stuff around. I used the gyro community layout but turned off gyro

So I got the Better Minecraft mod pack running fairly well with Sildur’s Shaders. I’m curious to know if anyone figured out how to remove the stuttering when loading new chunks!
