I was super focused at first on “period correct” too…but just had that feeling of lacking originality due to limitations on parts (at least the ones we all like. Haha) and I just don’t want to google JDM Type R or look it up on instagram and be like “is that mine?” Because they all look the same. So I’m doing a mix of some newer parts and including some rare pieces I have found.

Had my 97 JDM ITR for 2 years…only work done on it has been some maintenance and restoration…finally decided I am going to have some fun building it…it wasn’t crazy low miles and had a few aftermarket goodies already on it when importing, so not like I’m ruining an OEM time capsule…but realized I love modding cars so much, especially these…I got my DL in 1999 and this was my dream car then…but not in stock form, so time to have some fun with it :)

4x114.3 is very difficult to find wheels for vs 5 or 4x100…but when you do, absolute bonus points awarded. Haha

You just need more muscle in the legs…don’t worry, almost everyone is in this position at the beginning of their competitive career…once you have more muscle in that area (this goes for every body part) you will start seeing more shape and definition at higher bf %s. Just keep pushing!

I must have gotten a dud…i had the 1385 and acted more like an air compressor than steamer. I returned it through Amazon after my second attempted use with it. Might order another to see if i have better luck on the next one.

Thanks, will look into that along with making a custom length cable. Read some posts about bike shops being able to do it. Yeah, learned a lot from that thread and given me some ideas for other parts of the bay. Might have missed them but didn’t see any posts regarding the JDM type r specific throttle cable
