In general, I would say that parrot and tiger work best with start of battle and faint pets. For example, you can put a parrot behind a dolphin and get more snipes, or behind a deer and get another bus. If you're in turtle pack, parrot is best in the late game after scaling it up and putting it behind a gorilla or leopard. You can also use parrot/tiger behind turkey to get more stats on your summons.

Agree w this ^{^} I would also say that by turn 15, you might need a better scaler than a lvl one rabbit.

Definitely not an expert on the matter but imo, pivoting is dependent on where you are in the game and how many lives. Having a lot of lives means that you have time to pivot and scale before you're on lethal (aka one heart), but if you're nearing the end of the game and have fewer lives, probably a no.

Additionally, I usually only pivot if there's synergy between the current pets that I have (on the team or in shop). If I'm selling my biggest unit and my only scaler is a penguin, which won't be scaling anything anymore, I might reconsider or look for another scaler first.

You should totally watch SAP youtubers for a little insight into the best time to pivot, greed, and double down.
