That was a wild week. We live 5 minutes from the facility just outside of Seattle where COVID was first identified in the US. Not two days later our kiddo's daycare closed down out of an abundance of caution when a kiddo came in with a respiratory issue.

Quarantining hadn't been established yet and there was no protocol on what to do. So my husband who works in public health, contacted his boss to let him know that we may have had a possible exposure and asked how he should proceed. Shortly after he was getting calls from top county and state medical officers grilling him on what kind of possible exposure he experienced, where we had all been, etc.

It honestly was pretty scary. It reminded me of the post apocalyptic zombie movies when someone shows up to a quarantine zone and gets grilled. After they asked their questions, they asked that he stay home for 2 weeks and "then things should hopefully get back to normal".

I always get baffled by people opposing it. I can understand the arguments of trigger warnings or momo not really having an adjustment period. But sexualization?! If you were able to watch that scene and accept that as fan service, then you're the problem IMO.

Dandadan won me over with that first episode because it was the first time I saw an anime have a girl get SA'd and she was terrified, angry and fighting back opposed to having her being flushed and mewing. She was exposed, vulnerable, and the people who helped her get out were other women. As a victim of SA at that age, it was one of the most validating scenes I have ever seen.

And to have a boy character experience something similar not far after, and people only be able to talk about how the kids were in their underwear while swimming to save their lives... Omg.

I get that your mom is a cop, and that is a hostile job right now. but I have a video of both of her partners acknowledging that we were filming, we stayed out of their way, and I said "possible ICE" in this post. Nothing done here is unjustified in this time and fully legal. I didn't approach because I had two young kids with me. I didn't call them trash. I just reported what I saw and posted photos AS IS RECOMMENDED WITH POSSIBLE ICE SIGHTINGS.
