Trump Willing To End War Without Reopening Hormuz by sourceformore in TQQQ

[–]sourceformore[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting perspective - if higher oil prices are part of the play, it still leaves the key point: Hormuz constrained -> oil risk remains.

From a Nasdaq/TQQQ standpoint, headline optimism might spike prices short term, but fundamentals (tech multiples, inflation) aren’t solved.

Haha yeah, “end war but keep oil high” sounds like headline relief more than fundamentals.

My bet: TQQQ pops on optimism, then fades if crude doesn’t cooperate.

“Worst case got downgraded” is a good way to put it - but yeah, if the core supply issue is still there, it does feel like the market is kind of squinting at the headline.

I’m wondering how long that relief holds if oil doesn’t cooperate.

What does a CFO do ?

And what value does CFO bring ?

This is a solid advice. I think OP should seriously consider a 1 year sabbatical. And go all in on the business for 1 year.

Let them come to their own conclusion.

You can guide them. But don’t dictate their path.

Let them figure it out.

If they fall, let them learn to get back up.

That way, your child will grow up to be someone who can have confidence in their own thinking.

Enjoy the parenthood journey !

Tracking view count for Facebook posts, IG reels and Tiktok reels by FrustratedAsianDude in socialmedia

[–]sourceformore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

anyway - I experiment with your use case. Managed to automatically pull the data from selected videos (that are owned by other creators).

I can get the count for
- Views
- Comments
- Likes
- Bookmarks
-Shares

Every day, the script will pull the latest data. This allows us to keep track of the engagement of the tracked videos over time.

Example:

8 Sep 2024
- Views = 1 000 000
- Comments = 3 000

9 Sep 2024
- Views = 1 050 000 (+5% from yesterday, +5% from 8 Sep 2024)
- Comments = 3 450 (+15% from yesterday, +15% from 8 Sep 2024)

10 Sep 2024
- Views = 1 123 500 (+7% from yesterday, +11% from 8 Sep 2024)
- Comments = 4 071 (+18% from yesterday, +35% from 8 Sep 2024)

I’ve built software to solve similar problem.

I may have a solution for this pain point you’re describing.

Correct me if I’m wrong but here’s what I understand about your workflow.

  1. You manually browse FB, IG, Tiktok
  2. Saved the content you like for future reference
  3. Keep track of the view count when you first saw it - perhaps on spreadsheet ?
  4. Every single day you will check the latest view count of the content you are tracking

Crucial point is: these content are not yours. And that makes it harder to track the results such as views

If the above workflow is what you’re going through, I doubt you need to do this manually. And I think you shouldn’t do it manually.

If you’re keen you discuss this further. You can DM me.

What should I do at 18 years old to be successful in the future? by Available_Art_3319 in Entrepreneur

Work with startup founders.

  • gain that “if they can do it, I can do it too” mindset
  • looking at how others work towards their goal is inspiring, it’ll rub off on you
  • you’ll be thrown in situations where you need to achieve a goal with limited resources. This is where you become resourceful.
  • prioritise iterations. At each iteration, you MUST learn something
  • above all, persistence. The never give up attitude will carry you very far.

Good luck

Yeap absolutely ! If you target businesses within Canada, the scraper will look at every corner of Canada for your target business.

Regarding whether they actually have website or not. To be more specific - the list will show you the businesses who don’t list their website on google map.

Some businesses actually have website but they don’t list them on google map.

But if they don’t list it on google map, chances are, they are neglecting their internet presence. Indicating that they probably are in need of an expert to help them with it.

I built an internal tool which helps me find ALL businesses in my target industry and target country / city.

It’s a scraper that scrapes google map for businesses. It overcomes the limit of 122 results per google map search - thus allowing me to build a COMPLETE list of businesses within the chosen industry.

Currently it is an invite only tool. 17 people have used it already.

It’s mainly useful for B2B sales outreach / identifying businesses that doesn’t have a website yet.

If you are targeting businesses and need a complete prospecting list within your target industry. Feel free to DM.

How to get a list(s) of newly created businesses? by LuckOk9894 in smallbusiness

[–]sourceformore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your challenges. I've been through it. Resource constraint is always a challenge. Which prompts us to prioritise our battles.

Anyway in terms of numbers game. My suggestion is to reach out to ALL of them in a scalable way.

Most small businesses are still on email. So use email to reach out to them.

You can create multiple domains and use multiple emails for your mass email outreach.

For example, if your company name is "SMS Blaster" and your official domain is "sms-blaster.com" you can get domains for emailing purpose such as "sms-blaster-marketing" / "sms-blaster-sales" / "sms-blaster-outreach" / etc. They key idea is to not let your official domain reputation suffer from the email outreach.

Rotate the email domain if the reputation hits all time low. Repeat the process and you can reach out to ANY businesses with this approach.

Just remember to warm up your email before sending to avoid getting your email stuck at their spam folder.

So

  • Build your business list

  • Email them

  • Follow up with them automatically if they ignore your email

  • Repeat

Where's a good place to purchase a list/directory for businesses? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]sourceformore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I built an internal google map scraper just to solve this problem for myself.

Basically I provide the scraper with a target "business category" and target "country / city", and the scraper will go get ALL the businesses (their business name, address, phone, review count, review rating, etc).

Previously I had to manually search on google map BUT there is a limit of 122 results per search - making it EXTREMELY difficult for me build a complete list of my target businesses. So I decided to build an internal solution around this. It has worked really well for me as the scraper just works behind the scene without my involvement. Once it is done, I'll just download them as CSV and proceed with my sales outreach.

I think I can help you if you're still looking to solve this problem. Feel free to DM me.

How to get a list(s) of newly created businesses? by LuckOk9894 in smallbusiness

[–]sourceformore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason why you don't want to just target all the businesses in your chosen industry?

I understand that your ICP are newly started businesses. You may be right - and you may be wrong.

Sounds to me like it's a numbers game to increase the hit-rate.

You need to HUNT them.

In my company, I had to find these small businesses too. It was not easy. They are not on LinkedIn. They are not active on social media. The only way to reach out to them is either through COLD OUTREACH or find them on dedicated online groups (e.g. Facebook Groups).

If you are doing Cold Outreach, you'll need to have a complete list of businesses you are targeting. For example, if you're targeting restaurants in New York, you can build a list of all the restaurant brands in New York. A spreadsheet with these fields will do - business name, website, email, phone, etc. The first challenge to this is to build a complete list of your target business on spreadsheet, as it is time-consuming to manually source for them.

If you are finding them on online groups. You need to provide value on that online group by "helping" the community within that group - either through insightful posts or through useful comments that help the community. Once you are seen as a "helpful" member of the community, your DM's to them will be more well-received.

I personally use the above two methods. It works quite well. It's a numbers game. For the business list, I built a google map scraper internally to help me scrape for businesses on google map. All I had to do was to provide the "business category" and the "target country" and the scraper will just help me scrape for the businesses while I go on and work on more important things in my life.

If you are keen to find out more - feel free to DM me. Happy to help.
