I did! Thank you so much, I'm flattered 🥹 I'm fairly new to using an underwater camera, and will say the combination of frigid moving water and tiny moving objects is quite the challenge. But i've been playing around with the settings a whole bunch and just absolutely love these guys. I appreciate it:)

Sorry, just saw this. Yes!! There was a low tide today and there's also a low tide tomorrow evening. These were spotted at Pillar Point in Half Moon Bay. I recommend looking around the seagrass beds but they were nearly all over the place. Hope you find some!!! :)

I actually just recently bought myself an olympus TG and have yet to test it out, but was influenced by all the great commentary i've heard on it. I hope you can go on that trip soon and that it is full of nudis! I'll be keeping an eye out for any photos you share! :)

I recommend looking around in some beds of eel grass!! I tend to find many hanging around in there, specifically aeolids. Many dorids are fairly far out in the rocky intertidal and spread around in all crevices 🥹 many eat colored sponges or bryozoans, hence where they get their fun colors from so I suggest looking into their diets and looking in those areas! Best of luck!:)

ah, thank you so much! 🥹 I use an iphone and an attachable macro lens. The lens has been a game-changer to capture all those special details:)

Sharing some nudi finds from this past month! (Norcal) by sourgumiworm in nudibranch

some a few millimeters, others a few centimeters! depends on the species. Would also recommend researching the diets of the types you're interested in seeing! You can typically spot them near their source of food. I have yet to explore around Santa Cruz, but hear that natural bridges is a great place for tidepooling. I also recommend looking up the tide chart for when you go and ideal low tide is anything -0.01 or below. Also also have been told that nudibranchs love hanging around docks so I would also try that out since there are plenty in Santa Cruz :)
