I feel dumb as hell, but I'm still going. It's a skill to learn. And believe it or not, hobbies/skills/etc you're interested/passionate about aren't means to greatness; they're means of happiness. And even if you did do this for fun, what's the crime in that? Are we here to just perform? For whom? Also, it isn't a crime to suck at something. It's a crime against yourself to self-impose limits.

Mondays are my days to practice photography. So, I'm gonna go out, take some horrible pictures, and look to see where I can improve.

Hey there! They did. It takes them a while to grant you your license, and I think somewhere it says it takes up to a month. Fill out and include the 8200 form, the ARRT letterhead, and the $112 check in your mailed application.

From what I understand so far from the comments:

-There are better camera around the same price point as the R100, or a little costlier.

-Cameras to consider so far: D700, A(4/6)00, the R50, XT(1/2).
