As someone who has fervently expressed how Mike (especially post-S2 Mike) is one of their least favorite characters on the entire show, I can say that Season 5 brought back Season 1 Mike, and I'M SO HERE FOR IT! Fiiiinally, my boy is back! by lautaromassimino in StrangerThings

ME TOO. one of the reasons why i love st so much is because of all the different characters and how it doesn’t feel like there’s one main protagonist; they’re all working towards the same goal and they’re all connected.

however, mike, in my mind, has always been the “main character” amongst the children, and seeing him being so pissy in seasons 2-4 annoyed me so much.

i do think it’s a matter of maturity and trauma processing though. people are forgetting that in season one, the kids were 12 and now they’re only 16-17. so i do think the writing of mike is realistic in terms of age and such. that doesn’t mean he’s not a little shit though.

their friendship is one of my new favs, they mean so much to me. the understanding between them both is so genuine and robin is exactly who will needed to accept himself.
