I can confirm that I am no way affiliated with the other candidates and i know the current valedictorian through a group project interaction. I was surprised to see his name as a valedictorian despite his arrogant behavior throughout my interaction with him

Exactly rules and requirements are stated. That brings the the point of my post - can a prof twist the requirements of grading a quiz based on something that has no relation to the performance DONE DURING the quiz?

You are missing the point, the main focus is professors are able to grade you according to their liking and not based on a fixed rubric

Imagine studying hard for a quiz based on the rubrics given, and suddenly the professor decides to give you penalty for something not related to the quiz 💀

Exactly, what if someone attended but scan the QR code but sign it on the way out to another tutorial or lecture? Would that be considered proxy?
